Got appendix removed, how long till i can ride

Anyone else have there appendix taken out. It was done larascopicly wich is the faster recovery time way. Anyone else have this done. How long did it take until you were back riding?

I rode my Harley roughly 2 weeks after to get a feel for it and then went from there. I had some discomfort but it went away in a few days. I would just ease your way into it at the 2-3 week mark

4 weeks min. A buddy of mine was told to wait 4 weeks after his was removed, which he didn't. He was in pain for at least a week after his first ride back, and regretted not listening. Take it easy on yourself, don't rush it! Baby steps......

I had mine removed between moto's and still got the holeshot the 2nd moto and the overall. You kids today whine about everything.

Listen to your doctor. I think this sport pushes the enthusiast to come back sooner than is necessary because we see top level professionals do this constantly and it's created some sort of standard. I know when I was a kid I adhered to being tough or riding through it but in the long run if you have 25 years of career left staying healthy vs 15 if you get a chronic health problem that could've been avoided with patience, waiting's better option.

Doctors don't know anything. I do all my own repairs. Tequila, a couple scalpels, and some zip ties and you can fix pretty much anything.

Done track side with a pocket knife - 20 minutes tops
Laparoscopically, - 4 to 6 weeks.

Depends on when you can work up the courage to just rip the duct tape covering the laparoscope holes off. Unless you've already cauterized them shut with a Bic lighter.Dizzy Then you're good to go.

Agree 100%. I actually rode my KTM 500 home from the hospital. Only issue I ran into was that sitting on the seat was uncomfortable so I rode standing up the whole way home. of course, this provided a real treat to those fortunate enough to be behind me in traffic as I didn't bother to even take my gown off before I left.

Back in 1982 at Lake Whitney Bob Hannah had his appendix removed by a trophy girl with a butter knife. She taped him up, they made a baby, then he went out and won the second moto. Not a lot of people know this, but that baby would later go on to be known as the GOAT.

I was back bangin nails and carrying lumber about 4 days after i had mine removed. Wasnt riding back then so not sure about that.

I had to wait 8 weeks before any exercise at all, 10 weeks for riding. However mine was more serious due to it ripping and spredding some nasty fluids in my stomach. Looking back it was the most painful experience ever.
