Wow..... what a surprise. Who would have ever thought he'd crash again and miss a race. Oh wait! It's happened about 30 other times

When was the last time Trey made it through a season healthy? 2010 I guess? Is that the only year he made it through all the races? He's been hurt every year since and I'm pretty sure he got hurt in 08 and '09.

Just bummed for the guy..
I wanna say he did one year for Honda on the 450, maybe 13? Not completed all races but didn't miss any.

That's why you look at guys like Dungey and Chad earlier in his career and it's crazy.

Not a good idea but what's left?
Actually its a good idea when it comes to trey, he needs to do his physical training off the bike. Just show up saturday all jacked up.

The thing I don't understand is that his riding style is so smooth! Almost Windham esque but I guess he just pushes past the edge too often. But take someone like Jason Anderson, he is wfo and all over the place, he looks like he is about to crash his brains out at any given moment and stays relatively healthy.

In these 2 races I think trey proved he still has elite speed, his finishes we're not too shabby for a guy coming back from injury. He ran up front then faded a little at the end as you would expect. . . But he really needs to have a Adam cianciarulo type year next year or nobody will take a chance on him again.
I think this year was his year to have a injury free one. He has a 1 year deal with KTM, so unless they sign him again or he gets something solid next year this could be it. Id love to see him get one more chance but at the same time id like to see him hang it up without a major injury and be healthy.

Have to respect him for continuing to work for it. Dungey gets one injury and wouldn't even race an outdoor again.

Really? Including Trey's injury in Los Angeles?

You don't have to be a pro to see that it is not about luck or bad luck LOL. Dungey had what, one or two injuries during his career and Canard like 20? There is a reason behind it and it is not Dungey being lucky and Canard unlucky

Not even trolling. Just not a fan of where the thread is going with the jokes about his crashes. Probably the same people worshipping JS7 that have no respect for a guy who continues coming back.

Tagged and collared, that is one unhappy bear.

Hate to say it, but it may be time to call it a career. With all the serious injuries he's had I'd hate to think how it's going to affect him as he gets older and living his life away from racing, kind of like old NFL players. As you get older those aches and pains you ignored as a dumb kid have a way of catching up with you. I think most of us old-timers over 40 can vouch for that. Father time is undefeated.

Feel bad for the guy, you see this in all forms of motorsports though, guy has elite speed and talent but can't keep upright/off the wall. My opinion is that it's how he's wired, seems to lack a bit of "feel" of where the edge is. He's got that go hard or go home style and can't feel the edge and dial it back a notch like a Dungey.

There's a dude on the Racer X Facebook post about it that wrote (in reply to someone):

"...Trey's wheel locked up on the face of a triple this Monday, that is why he is missing Southwick..."
- Keaton McCalip

No idea who Keaton is or anything, that's literally all I could find/know about it. Take that for what it's worth.

I feel for Trey but this is getting ridiculous. There has to be some element in his riding style or racecraft that causes these constant crashes and injury. Figure out what it is and fix it, or hang it up while you can still make the decision to do so. Dungey goes 10 years with two injuries and Trey can't go half a season without 3 injuries.
Reminds me of Travis Pastrana a fair bit, always fast but did not have the focus or consistency to win championships on the bigger bikes making many mistakes leading to big crashes and a lot of injuries.

It's funny to see that you can have the 41 on a factory KTM and either be the most inconsistent guy in the US or the most consistent guy in Europe...

I feel like you hit this nail on the head. Rogers face is probably sore from all the times of palming it when Trey crashes. Don't get me wrong folks I am a big Trey supporter but come on dude.

Such a cool guy, really bummed to see it happen to him over and over again. You have to give him credit for ALWAYS coming back though.
Looks like his mind is unbreakable, I just wish that his body was less prone to breaking.
