I think it's just a poorly constructed sentence that has led a lot of people to believe you were saying Versace, Hill and Forkner didn't have the balls to finish like Tomac did. I know that's not what you're suggesting, but the structure of your original sentence might lead people to believe that.

You also have to remember that, while we can blame the grammar, a lot of folks around are a bit tightly wound in the sphincter area and get all bent out of shape at even the slightest insult.

A suggested modification to your original sentence so as to not offend the sensitive sally's around here:

"Does anybody know what the issue is with the PC bikes and why all three of them DNFed this weekend? On a related note, let's give some credit to Tomac for having the balls to finish that gnarly race without a front brake, which is clearly unrelated to any of the issues PC had with their bikes."

So I guess I am saying Tomac's Balls > PC Bike Issues.
Just because he fails to see the relevance between Tomac's balls and PC engine issues (as do I), doesn't mean he's judging Tomac's badassery. We all...

It's just completely irrelevant to this post. Is the topic of this thread what happened to PC or is it a comparison between Tomac's balls and PC's bike issues?
At least someone gets it...

Drawing on old school experience/knowledge vs. actually knowing the exact compromise of porting/valve timing/ignition tuning/fuel tuning/cooling that the satellite teams are running. (in other words I don't know squat) Those 250's have very short life expectancies. Really short fuses. I don't imagine PCs engine problems are a mystery. Most likely, in search of a bit more power for the big hills of Glen Helen they went a bit too far into the "never exceed" zone.

If the engines stayed together...hero's. Unfortunately actual results sometimes vary.

I don't think Mitch is scared to push the envelope. We've seen it plenty of times from ever since I can remember, they've had some pretty costly DNFs. Usually happens later in the season though, like around southwick.

The old 'bad batch' line again, favoured by engine builders for decades.. instead of admitting they pushed the part past its envelope, they will point at the part and go 'it broke'.. The type of suppliers PC uses wont have issues like that.

Getting a proper post mortem done on the parts will tell them everything they already probably know.

So I guess it's out.
This is all a big Kawasaki rig to sabotage all the 250s in the trailer beside AC so he shines bright again.

Forkner's bike was stuck solid, as in drop a valve, or throw a con rod stuck.

Watch the video, 12.5 minutes he tries to kick stuck engine.

Those KX250F engines went ka-boom.

was it frozen? i thought him and joey were kicking it over like there was no compression

Their engine builder is a very meticulous guy. trust me on that one. Durability testing time on the dyno and the hills of Glen Helen on race day are just very different animals. I don't have the inside scope on this one but I'm thinking they had piston issues, and their pistons aren't what you and I but from RMATV. Full custom spec to stupid comp levels.

Running out of Gas = Fuel related issues

Engine grenades = Engine related issues

Brakes locked up = Chassis related issues

I think that is about all the info that we will ever get.
Fixed it up for you Jay

Running out of Gas = Fuel related issues and what gets told to media = electrical fault

Engine grenades = Engine related issues and what gets told to media = electrical fault

Brakes locked up = Chassis related issues and what gets told to media = electrical fault

I think that is about all the info that we will ever get

But I fixed it, I don't mean to be a n00b that comes in and melts all the snowflakes. (Even though I am pretty damn liberal)

I'm guessing as well, but I'd say it was Piston failure. We were using the CP custom pistons that were built for our Yoshimura RMZ 250 motors and they were cracking in half.

Best case scenario-
The piston stays in one piece/ Instant compression loss and the bike dies... No compression when you kick it over, bike won't start

Worse case-
The piston breaks on half and drops into the lower end. Bike locks up and all kinds of damage...

Yep! And they only have to have a slight change in the race fuel from testing also and shit hits the fan. Quite literally in these days of extreme MXer cooling.

Their engine builders are their mechanics. Pro circuit doesnt have a dedicated engine guy. Whoever is the riders mechanic is who builds the motor. So your trusted mechanic you carried wifh you from amateurs all the way to pc who only turned your clickers and adjusted your levers is building your motor. PC needs to get a dedicated and experienced engine guy. Dont get me wrong im a huge pc/kawi fan but these random mechanics have no business building motors. They need to take after pretty much every other team. Get an engine department.

I dont believe the faulty batch shit either. I know for a fact that these teams go through a shit ton of cylinders, heads, and everything else to pick out the best stock parts available and go from there.

"Parts not working well together.... " great comment!

I'm thinking valves and pistons, but who knows.
