What are your guys setups to watch the races via NBC Gold app?

I already had a gen. 3 apple TV and didn't want to shell out for a 4th gen. solely to run the NBC gold app so I bought a chrome cast to stream from my iPhone.

I'm pretty disappointed in the functionality to be honest. It bogs in the app and doesn't always cast to the player. The fact that you have to go back to the menu to select the next moto is pretty annoying and is usually when it bogs and won't reload for a while.

Quality of the stream when it is playing has been good, I'll give it that.

I listened to TXdirt and ordered Fire TV box connected to 65 inchSUHD TV. My first time using it was today and it was awesome. Going back to menu is slightly annoying but I quickly got used to it.
I was going to use it for first motos Only then switch to directv but I watched all 4 motos without all the commercial breaks instead.
It actually made me a couch potato today
Wife is now watching some 4K stuff on it pretty amazing really

Using an Amazon Fire Stick hooked up to a Vizio 70" TV and it is perfect, couldn't get much better, commercial free and full HD.

Not exactly 100% commercial free. The "Motion Pro What's in your Tool Box" infomercial falls smack in the middle of the 450 motos.

If you are a bit behind in the live broadcast, it skips ahead to the next moto automatically once that feed starts up. Then you have to wait for the replay to get uploaded in order to finish watching. Super annoying.

Old Toshiba lap top - on Chrome - cast to my wall mounted TV - works awesome! No issues.

As for the broadcast, I am surprised they have dead air or the coverage will resume shortly. Why not show all of the riders finishing the race and go into the pits to see riders/teams after the moto or even the sighting lap. I would even be OK with a small box in one of the bottom corners with adds or commercials but still showing the race on the rest of the tv.

Overall - it has been $50 well spent.

Firestick at the local movie theater screen...awesome Smile

Live in the sticks and interweb connection of 6mb is thankfully just enough to get the job done for streaming.

Streamed off the net and didn't have one problem. I think it worked great and am well pleased. Plus I like the fact I could watch qualifying.

Why do they cut out right after the winner crosses the finish line.

I have a gen 2 Apple TV, a Roku, and a smart TV (but no cable, only internet). None of those devices can directly use the NBC sports Gold app, so I downloaded it to my iPad and beam it to the Apple TV. Has worked well for the first 2 rounds, the lack of commercials is worth the $50 alone.

Only complaint here is the coverage doesn't always seem to refresh. Maybe it's me, but a few times I was stuck on the coverage will resume shortly page. Out of impatience I refreshed the app and the the coverage had already begun. Other than that small issue, I have enjoyed it.

I got a Google Chrome Cast for the first set of races and while it was nice being able to watch it, I hate Chrome Cast. It sucks. We also have multiple ROKUs and I just bought an Amazon Firestick. Amazon Firestick is the way to go. $40 and its awesome. Wish I would have bought the Firestick before getting multiple Roku's, although Roku isn't bad - just not as good as Firestick.

I stream it to our 50" HD tv, love it.

Using my PC, connected to my 32" tv "monitor"
Worked great today. Last week my Internet sucked, and so the coverage sucked.

I do wish they'd show something other than the coverage will resume screen. Otherwise I'm very pleased, worth the cash IMO.

Do you have to select the motos individually with that, Scottie?

How 'bout buffering? can you pause it for a bit and resume play?

Macbook with Chrome browser.

Sounds like its working pretty well for those in the US.

I bought in from an "unauthorised country" and figured I'd be fine using Chrome and HolaVPN, but all I get is a black screen when I hit play. No combination of FlashPlayer settings, installs and re-installs etc have allowed me to see it. I can login fine and see all the race titles I should be able to watch, they appear to load, then .... nothing.

Its making me crazy. Anyone found a way to access from UK/AUS/NZ etc?

Oh, I'm just using my Macbook and once I get it sorted intend to airplay to AppleTV. I'd settle for just the Macbook- I'm desperate!

The only minor complaint I have watching the replays on my Dell laptop casted to my 60" tv is that full frame isn't actually full frame, it's a bit smaller. Other than that, it's $50 well spent

It's definitely better watching it from a browser. I tried watching from the app today and it's a little buggy.

I got the Chromecast Ultra because it has an Ethernet jack. It streamed all 4 motos perfectly, and I control it from my iPhone.

The motos should start automatically, so yes it's annoying that you have to go to the menu and choose each moto. Angry

Twenty five years ago we had to call a 900 number to get results... $50 is cool to be able to watch practice and the race... they need to work on the content a little, but otherwise it great!

Fire TV box with 65" TV through the NBC Sports Gold app today and it was perfect.

I watched last weekend out of town on my MacBook Pro connected to my hotspot for internet and that worked good as well.

Bought a smart TV with Roku to be able to watch races on. It does not work live but can go back and watch practice & races later. If it works later why does it not work live?

Watched this weeks on my ipad. The audio was terrible with a delayed echo making it unlistenable.

Races do not start on time like JRT812 said above. Starts about 1/2 way into the 1st lap. Did it both motos.

It poped up to rate it and it would not let me give it the lowest 1 star rating. Rigged ratings?

I also have multiple Roku's and noticed that too. I emailed NBC Sports about it, and they had no reply as to why some material was available on Roku and other content wasn't. I bought a Fire Stick to watch it. I like Fire Stick better than Roku after using both.

I was at Hangtown and watched Glen Helen on it. The best $50 I've spent all year - no commercials, HD. Fantastic
