Alright, I'm not gonna play this stupid game with you anymore. I understand high school economics buzz words and phrases, there was no free lunch since it required a cable log in, and there are adds to offset the cost. Let's clue you in a little bit on where I'm coming from, so we don't have any more confusion and you can stop acting like an ass toward me.

My local dealer is over an hour away, but I still make an effort to support them and order all of my OEM parts from them, even though it takes a little longer and might be a little more expensive. Since I'm not exactly rolling in cash, I install everything myself, and learn all I can to help myself save money. I just started doing my own shocks because I realized it was getting really expensive to pay to have them serviced in a reasonable time span, and luckily there are some really great local tuners who were very helpful in showing me the basics and providing guidance since I had a good relationship with them. Sometimes people still help each other out, rather than screw each other over.

As for discounts, I've asked for a total of 0 in my career, and I'll do a full disclosure for you just to really drive the point home. I have a couple small discounts through Cycle Gear (which they offered me after being a regular customer for years), and EKS Brand (which I applied for like everyone else, and have had increase over the span of a few years since I've been loyal to them). Unless you're racing full time most companies just aren't really interested, which is fine so I just buy stuff like everyone else. So tell me again how I want deep discounts on everything and don't support the industry, and I'm just some entitled prick. I'll wait.

So again, I'll explain this out. Nothing is free, it wasn't free before, but now to get exactly what was offered previously you have to pay extra. NBC doesn't care about this industry, they just saw a convenient way to strong arm people into paying more for something they already had, and people are eating it up like pie. If they would have offered this option in addition to the free package I might have bought it just for the commercial free streaming, but since they tried to force my hand I'm probably out. If you think I'm an idiot for that, fine, but I'm not going to let you insinuate a bunch of things about me that aren't true.
I agree with you. Good post sir.

Haha! Good one, mate! I got my ticket. I'll be watching it ALL on the big screen casting from my phone! I wonder if we'll get to see the 2 stroke race?

I'm sick of seeing people saying to quit bitching about this. Some people are getting screwed here, myself included. I have ONE cable provider option in my apartment complex, no satelite options. While I do get NBCSN they do not offer MAVTV, at all. Some people don't have $50 to throw around, myself included. Now I am forced to pay if I want to watch the first motos because there is NO other way that I can get them, even though I already get raped by the cable company every month. Maybe I could cancel the cable to pay for it...oh shit wait I can't because then I would have no internet. I guess instead of buying my ticket for Budds this year I will have to spend it on this instead.

Are you incapable of finding one of the stream links people post on this forum for nearly every round?
Yes
So you have to purchase cable TV to even be able to have a internet service provider? Are you positive?

I'm so rich, blessed to be able to spend $4.16 on a saturday to watch a dirt bike race. Gonna throw it around, I don't give a shit. None.

Obviously I know that I can get internet without cable, however the price I would pay is insane. Also, I'm glad you not only have $4.16 to spend every week, but also somehow found a way to not have to pull it all out of your ass at the same time. Maybe since you're so rich you can pay for my subscription too? Share the wealth.

I could borrow a weed eater and come up with 50.00 in a afternoon. Pay for you? Share the wealth? Some how found a way to not pull 4.16 out my ass? Yeah I did. I earned it with hard work. 16 hour days is my normal work day. I freeze and sweet my ass off at work. I normally come home sore.

You have cable and internet acting like you living in the great depression. Someone complaining about 4 dollars on the internet is the mother of all hypocrisies

Great price. I'll buy to support but my only issue is the world thinks everyone has good, fast internet. Everyone doesn't, trust me. But I get they must cater to the masses.

I have a grandfathered unlimited plan but since it's old it plays streams ok sometimes and poorly others so sometimes just end up watching on mav and nbcsn thru my DirecTV. I'm in a seriously less than 1 mile both ways dead zone as far as high speed internet. No options other than satellite.

So the plan was better for me last year but no biggie. I love our sport so I'll buy for sure and hope it works for me.

You sir, are the epitome of a vitard. I work 60+ hour work weeks. Snow, rain, 100+ degrees, and holidays. Oh, did your arrogant brain think you are the only person here that works? I have a family that I alone support, and I sacrifice everything for them. Yeah, $50 is hard to come by for some people, even ones that work hard for a living. Go screw bro!

I'm in the same boat, wouldn't mind paying the $50 if my internet was fast and reliable, but it isn't, the free streams from promotocross.com have been iffy at best in previous years. Not sure if I'll buy the pkg or not...

Was free, now costs $50?
Why is this good?

It wasn't free before. The cost was subsidized by the ads. Now you have a choice, pay (no ads so I understand) and watch online live, or don't pay and watch via TV with the ads and potential delay.

Either option comes with restrictions - TV channels may not be available, or internet may not be up to par.

The most important question, which I haven't seen answered, is will the 2 stroke races be included in the broadcast? And practice for that matter.

I suppose it's too much to hope for that the new pay-to-play version would include a superior content delivery system (ie. NOT the same one they use for the regular NBC Sports streams). My internet is slow, but I can watch Netflix all day long with great quality thanks to their highly optimized content delivery capabilities, but the brain dead systems used by most of the cable channels for their "me too" streaming apps (including NBC Sports) is unusable much of the time for me.

Just hope they follow the example of MXGP TV and don't post "spoilers" or results on the NBC home page. It would suck to go to the website to watch the archive motos and see a big headline "Tomac and Martin win Hangtown".

NBC- I want to watch the races without knowing the end result, please don't ruin the experience for us who can't watch live.

And for those who have an issue with the $50, I thought I read that the races will still be broadcast on NBC Sports TV (free if you have it on your cable like in previous years) but it will be "tape delayed" not live?

Maybe I was wrong, but I thought that was the case. So basically you have to pay the $50 bucks if you want to watch live (or archive on demand) but you can still watch the races for free you just have to wait a day or two?

Bought the nbc gold package. Went on the web site and logged in no problem. Clicked on old races that were open and it is telling me to log in again, with no where to log in on that page. Anyone else having this problem?

This was made for all the cord cutters out there that want to be able to watch the races. I don't understand all of the complaining. I will be buying this because I'm gone most weekends during the summer and this will give me a great opportunity to watch the races on my computer or phone in the hotels.

I just purchased the Pro Motocross Pass, of course. I, admittedly, have very shaky streaming internet. There is zero high speed available for about a less than 1 mile stretch where I live. So I use a grandfathered clause Verizon unlimited aircard usb device on my PC which is connected to my TV via HDMI.

Watching some archives, the playback audio wise seems okay but it's lagging video wise. Is there a way to adjust the video settings to lower it to get it to play better?

This was one of my fears when purchasing. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, is there a way to set the Pass where you don't have to constantly click on the Pro Motocross tab on the Gold homepage? Where it saves your preferences. I don't want to have to see cycling and rugby each time I go to the page. Should be a way to just save your preference as just Pro Motocross. Not a huge issue on that one but worth asking.

So wrong for ML512 to say that Promotocross joins MXGP with a online stream and bla bla... MXGP is available for everyone not just a handful of countries... damn I used to watch full nationals and once in a while mxgp short highlights videos this year will be the other way around

Should have worked on your pull out game.

Easiest $50 ever spent.

So Im gunna wait it out one week and see what everyone reports back as far as quality and how well it works! I have no problem at all spending 50 bucks to be able to watch all motos without ads all day long, my only issue is I dont have Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV ...I do have roku, and use it almost every day but for some dumb reason it isnt available on Roku, even though Roku CLEARLY has a "NBC SPORTS GOLD" channel you can add! ...So I will have to go buy a Chromecast to watch it on my tv!

So I guess I will find a stream for the first motos today, then watch 2nd motos on Dish tonight, then come back here to see what everyone has to say or complain about lol....Hopefully this works out well and is a nice smooth stream then I will have no problem forking out the 50 bones

So far the practice stream has been 99% crystal clear for me. No problem spending $50 for a season of this.

Need help!
I paid for the subscription and I'm using a newer chromebook to try and watch qualifying, but it won't even play because an error comes up 'Shockwave flash has crashed'. I'm kind of new to Chromebooks, but I have googled the issue and haven't gotten anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

Try reinstalling flash and just try reinstalling chrome first as well.
