Well, the term "sleeper" is pretty vague adjective in this case. Are we talking sleeper that could surprise for the title? A podium, a top-5, or a top-10? There are so many parameters that "sleeper" falls under, it's no wonder that you get such a broad spectrum of replies.
surly it means what people expect from a rider and what place they get . ie , if Deno get loads of top 3 s i consisder that a sleeper ,because he is expected him 5-10 . For me if you pick someone who is an expected 1-5 guy every week as a sleeper ,they mean he is going to win the championship . ie If Ferrandis wins a loads of moto s in the summer i dont think that is a sleeper pick , but if he win s the championship i think that would be a big surprise

McElrath 250s.

Grant 450s

I still think Barcia will be a constant on the podium.

I think Ferrandis could do some damage. He was pretty damn good in SX for a rookie and MX comes more naturally to him

Surprised AP23 isn't getting more attention. His ride in Vegas also seemed to be overlooked, granted there was a lot going on!

I agree. Bell will do well - I think he could get top 10, maybe top 8. He will surprise a few.

As for the Bagget - definitely not a sleeper. I expect him to fight for a few overalls this year.

Going to be a fun summer!! Cant believe it starts tomorrow!!!!!!

Oldenburg gets a podium (moto and overall) and top 10 on season.

Is that a sleeper?

Same as others, but not sure it could be considered a sleeper pick if everyone is saying the same thing about Baggett. People are saying the same thing about Ferrandis, but having not seen it yet, I would call it my sleeper.

Oh, also hoping for big things for AC

Martin is a 2-time champ for christ sake and has everyone forgot how dominant he has been in the class?
Ferrandis was the 2nd fastest guy in MX2 in Europe and I will be shocked if he doesn't win a few races this year and maybe competes for the title.

Neither of these 2 is a real 'sleeper', but both are very much underhyped compared to the rest.

He's clearly a title contender.

Though this thread was about sleeper picks.

Because he hasn't done a whole lot I'm 450s. He's a two time 250 champ and many feel should have been battling for titles by now.

250s, Ciancarillo if he can stay healthy.

After fighting 35-40mph winds and a storm blowing through, we survived. This is one of the few "outdoor sleeper pics" I have. I would do it again in a heartbeat

I remember waking up in the morning, on the front lawn, many days in college. But, nobody got pics of it (that I know of).

I'm coming in hot with grant for 450 and hill for 250. I think dean could do well but if I recall he clearly said he wants to just. Build for a year after being hurt. In the 250 class I feel ac is doing the same. Both have potential to go faster but both need to just solidly finish a full season.

Going off his shit supercross season. I think barcia would also technically qualify as a sleeper coming into the outdoors. I look for him to get much better results

4th two years ago doesn't exactly equate to being an automatic contender. Hasnt won a Moto or overall on the 450 outdoors.
