It might be too late...but do you think KTM will put anybody on the #5 450 for the outdoors to replace the retiring Ryan Dungey?

Bagget?

He shit the bed on the KTM, I doubt he'll get another shot on that team, but I could be wrong

I really can't see De Coster wanting anything to do with Barcia and his antics, but I guess the potential is there and that is an appealing factor.

How do you replace a guy like RD? The only guy I could see filling his shoes rides for another brand and snapped his arms earlier this year.

No they wouldn't. Different teams with entirely different sponsorship.

man the talent pool is drying up quick.....JS, RV, RD gone, KR questionable and Reed old......How in just a few short years you go from the "most stacked field ever" to I really don't know who ktm could get for the #5 spot....Too bad tomac resigned with Kawi.

Great opportunity for a guy like Tomac now with the heavy hitters being gone or injured.

Would be really cool! If he wins the title in Canada this summer would be cool to have a factory ride at KTM for outdoor in 2018.
I'm looking forward to see what he'll do at Hangtown before heading up north!

DeCoster is far from that stupid. I don't think RD & Barcia would click...at all.

Having said that, watch me completely wrong.

I just thought of somebody...except he can't move up right now...

JMart! The guy has always kinda reminded me of a Dungey mini-me.

Well it's a legitament question. However, judging by the KTM brass in the video today I'd say they aren't quite sure yet.... though I'm certain that they've been mulling things over. Should be interesting to see what they ultimately decide. Hard to replace someone like RD.

They have their replacement...Marvin Musquin...your 2017 450MX Champion.
No, I don't think he's faster than Tomac but, he's a hell of a lot smarter and he would have been in the SX hunt without that mid-season flu-bug.

Dean Ferris for next year? He is dominating the Nationals here so far on the Yamaha 450 and already impressed Decoster enough for him to hire him a couple of years ago on the 250 but he never got to race due to a practise injury....
Maybe if Ferris goes on to win the 450 class here this year , then does really well at the MXDN...
Fly in the ointment would be necessary supercross credentials..

When did Matthes say that? I listened to all the pods today. JT said Barcia wants on that bike... Matthes said Barcia could be an option if he had a great outdoor season...
