James Stewart and Lites Class Eligibility

Edited Date/Time 5/4/2017 3:19pm
Would James technically be eligible for the Lites class next year? Between a reduced schedule and shorter races would this be something he might consider?

I think its still a rule that a former 450 class champion cant drop down.

Absolutley no reason he cant show up on a 2016 model year Husky 125 and race the 250 outdoor class. Well, except theres no way in hell he wants to haha.

Why are we talking about James Stewart dropping down to the lites class in 2017? Probably the best lites rider to ever race? Cmon now

I don't think its stupid to imagine Stew in a 250f or even an trick 125,,

For gods sake if he stepped in a rode a few Nat's in the lites i would start paying attention to the races again,, Not that the racing hasn't been pretty entertaining this sx season,, but still..

Why a 2016
2016 model was homologated last year for Stankdog. 2017 model is probably not.

There's really nothing more entertaining in MX than JS259 on a 125. The dude tore it up.

I agree that James on a 125 was incredible to watch, but so was James on a 450. When the track is ripe for crazy lines and he is/was "on", the power of a 450 allowed him to put on a jaw-dropping show. Toronto 2014, for example:

he pointed out of 125 sx but mx he didnt. He's been out long enough he could probably drop down but honestly why would he?

he doesnt even have the ambition to get out at all in any fashion.

dont get me wrong i think it would be awesome to see him on a 250f
