Just like last week when people were saying he dominated because of the altitude, where he dominated on his own merit, he performed poorly this week. Lets call a spade a spade.

Yup – shit performance.

If he doesn't somehow pull it off next week he'll regret that for a while.

Anyone else think it's odd that they wouldn't let Tomac go back to the pits and forced him to do a TV interview? I just thought it was odd because in weeks where Dungey got worked and got fourth we wouldn't hear a peep from him till the next week and they probably wouldn't have thought twice about putting a mic in his face after it.
It's similar to other sports where the athlete's have media obligations after. Win or lose. Besides the riders already retreat and hide in their RVs enough.
And today's event was on national broadcast. They were gonna get the word

Oh boy now we gotta listen to all the Dungey fan boys. At least Ryan will retire so we don't gotta hear em anymore
So far, all we're hearing from are the fuck-farts like you and the others who are mad at the results.

True, bad day for Tomac. Maybe worse was going 5th, 6th, and 8th in the first 3 races while Dungey went 2-2-1. Tomac is overall faster than Dungey but Dungey's SX race craft is superior. Race craft = Red Plate next Sunday. As a Tomac fan, I'm hoping he keeps it on 2 wheels in the Nationals where I think his speed will far exceed Dungey's "managing the series" approach.

Dungey was on it today and no one can deny that. He pulled through under pressure, even with a mediocre jump off the start. I thought he was buried. Tomac was in a different situation for the first time all year-all the pressure was on him and there is no doubt it is different from chasing. He didn't look comfortable all day today, and in the main he crashed all on his own, twice. The track didn't allow for the same kind of charge as last week's track and he fell on the wrong track at the wrong time. That is why they line them up each weekend.

Last few posts are true, make sense and are logical.

Unlike the guy who calls Tomac a kook and a piece of trash because of that race...

I got no problem with team tactics. These teams pay millions of dollars to their riders. So what Marvin pulled over for Dungey. That's racing. Sometimes you need friends to win.

Why did it take Tomac so long to get up? Anderson washed out and made it on the podium. Honestly it's like he gave up. He was frustrated ALL day. It's almost like that washout was the last straw. And he threw in the towel.

Performing under pressure... Red plate... I knew that the points lead would be the time to see how Tomac deals with it. Some racers love the spotlight, and some perform great all the time with pressure and expectations on them. McGrath, and many more champs have shown their ability to perform when the heat is on.

When Roczen was around Tomac was just as mentally effed up as today in New Jersey!! Is he the fastest man in America? Yes as long as he doesn't have the red plate or Ken Roczen to deal with. Tomac needs to get drunk tonight. He also needs to realize that "It's just a dirt bike race, go out there and shred!"

Kawasaki needs a mental coach if they want to win with Tomac. Does anybody remember Jeff Spencer? His contributions to team Honda are not to be underestimated. Bailey won the sx and super series (blue plate) by the slimmest margins in 1983 over Barnett.

The mental side of this sport is really something. !!!!!!!!

No I understand that but you reiterated my point exactly, the norm has been if a guy doesn't wanna talk he doesn't talk. An example is Dungey only talks in the press conference if he gets on the podium.. otherwise he hides in his RV. Just thought it was odd that they let it happen when people clearly wanna hear from Dunge. I guess I shouldn't say it's odd because it's what they should have done from the beginning.

Tomac has no one to blame but himself. I said in a post before the race it was about time for Tomac to have a melt down. It was predictable. Not the first time he's done it. That's why Ryan has 3 championships to Tomacs zero.

Just goes to show how messed up the points system is. These guys should get more points for wins along with number 1 qualifier points.

This is gross! Guy wins 3x more races and loses the championship - fucked up! Happy for ET3 and Kawisaki for driving a wedge in the Austrian freight train. Kick ass in Vegas ET3!

I understand that. I'm saying 5 points instead of 3 or something like that

Apparently Wada was drug testing after the main. This could have been why they stopped him and then the reporter got in there quick.

I think he meant the spread between 1 and 2 should be greater, and I would agree. Philosophically speaking, there's a BIG difference between first and second or any other finishing position.

Yes tomac had a horrible night and nobody is blaming marv for that. The point is if marv would have took the win the points gap would have been half of what it is. Marv pulled over to basically pad dungeys points lead. What happens when ktms 6 riders or how everr many they have start working together to roadblock everyone who isnt dungey? Marv threw the game. Its shitty sportsmanship and everyone at ktm should be ashamed. I wasnt a fan of the ktm team or riders before but now i can say i dont like them. At least kawasaki has the integrity to make their riders earn it. Grant didnt move for eli.
