I feel for Eli I really do, but Ryan once again shows his unique ability to be there every race year after year. Again I feel for Eli, he can only try and hope things go south for Dungey in Vegas.

Yup! Everyone thinks it's bike. But it's like 95% mental and 5% bike. Eli was mind fucked all night. This seemed like a track he would excel on. But instead he wilted like a flower in the Texas summer heat. Dungey was a boss and did what Dungey does. Minimize damage and maximize other people's mistakes. It's made him very rich and a soon to be 4x champion. Congrats to him!
Finally we agree on something! This sport is definitely about 95% mental. Always has been. That's why I always laugh at these posers that talk about one bike having more power than another, or any other argument that the bike matters that much. My whole racing career I was on 2 year old+ stock bikes because we couldn't afford the newest models, and sure as hell couldn't afford hop-up parts. But I still won plenty of races, mainly because I "thought" I could win and wanted it more than most of the local yokels I raced against. And the mental game is even more important at the pro level.

The only way Tomac gets this championship is he needs to win Vegas (duh) and hope the KTM grenades or Dungey cross ruts in front of JG and JG cleans him out Dry

I hope Eli let's this go or uses it as motivation to come into outdoors to absolutely destroy the field. Dammit it all to hell!

Team orders caused Eli's 8th finish?

I honestly feel there were no team orders. However, Marvin did let Ryan by, I believe it was his own decision and because Ryan is truly his friend.

So is tanking a race illegal like match fixing in other sports? Because pulling over like that is the equivalent of match fixing.

The worst part is those 3 points werent even necessary. Dungey finishes top 3 next week and wins regardless of where Tomac finished. But no KTM cheated everyone out of what they deserved to see this week and next.

This is worse than Reed slowing Dungey up for a few laps and ultimately having points remain the same. If fans hate Reed for that. Surely the same needs to be applied to KTM. Dungey and Musqin.

Some big dollar checks were wrote this week.

This kind of shit doesn't happen for free. This night was straight up business.

With Tomac? He needed to be in it, not in 8th.

Dungey is the lamest Champion ever, i cant even believe he would let Marvin do that. You can throw all the crap out the door about how genuine he is and how he's such a hard worker and a great person for the sport and a fan favourite. He wil never ever earn respect again in the eyes of the true moto fans. Dungey you sir are a disgrace for this sport and what it truly stands for if you want team tactics you should start cycling!!!!

Andy, you're such a fruitcake. Yeah, maybe there were some team orders, but you can't take SHIT AWAY from Dungey! He STAYED ON TWO WHEELS, he rode smart ALL YEAR LONG, he had the BRAINS to put himself into a position to be where he's at now. He's done it his WHOLE CAREER! He deserves to be where he's at, regardless of any team tactics. To say that he will never "earn respect again in the eyes of true moto fans"....LMAO! The guy is the most consistent and SMARTEST RIDER this sport has EVER KNOWN! He doesn't need your so called "respect" now or never. Get over it.

What a surprise, Dungey is winning another championship where he wasn't the fastest rider (barely even the 3rd fastest)

I got no problem with team tactics. These teams pay millions of dollars to their riders. So what Marvin pulled over for Dungey. That's racing. Sometimes you need friends to win.

Why did it take Tomac so long to get up? Anderson washed out and made it on the podium. Honestly it's like he gave up. He was frustrated ALL day. It's almost like that washout was the last straw. And he threw in the towel.
4/29/2017 5:26pm
Teammates have been letting each other by on team orders since the sport (indeed most motorsports) took shape. It's as old as the hills and we all knew it was coming - hence the constant discussion about team orders going back weeks. Honestly the only surprise is that it took so long.

Marvin was absolutely right to do what he did, KTM were right to order it and Ryan was right to take advantage.

@RickyCarmichael That was a good business decision by Musquin.

Can't say Marv gave Dunge the title. Just three points.

If he wins title by less than 3, then complain.
