Not to hijack the thread, but my buddy rode the FMX contest after that and said Axell was an ungrateful little cry baby about the whole thing. Very poor attitude for someone who makes a decent amount of money to "throw whips" and not have any demanding responsibilities other than looking "fresh" and filming for video edits. Just my 2 Cents on the kid.

I thought his dad was a big wig over at Monster and that is what led to the whole "Dirt Shark" deal and getting Axell his deal....I have never heard of the Fender Bench before, kind of a cool idea....

Even if that isn't the case, is there something wrong with a guy being upset about getting second? Perhaps he's competitive and wants to win. That's pretty common in athletes. I've never met Axell, but the constant bashing of the kid on Vital is ridiculous. I wish more guys could make some sort of living riding a dirt bike and doing what they enjoy. Axell is a joy to watch ride, that is why he has a following and makes money doing it.
Very well said and I agree. You have to respect that he can make a living out of what he does. If you don't like what he does or stands for don't support him or watch his content. Everyone who comes on here to bash him only gives him more publicity. Good on him for doing what he loves!

Damn...crazy what one little invention that I never heard of can do. It's a good idea and would have saved me tons of lost parts over the years. I'd attach a magnet to that sucker if it doesn't already have one.

We watched it last night. Too much talking and especially the guy from Seven was painful to listen to.

Here is what I don't get - When did MX become all about "The Grind". I don't really care one way or another about Axell Hodges other than I think he is doing it right, for him. He enjoys riding his bike so why not try and do something other than racing? Frankly, for most people racing is a dead end that leaves you broke and possibly injured for life.

A lot of old timers seem to hate him while talking out the other side of their mouths about the "good old days" of moto. You mean the ones where people just rode a lot and had fun? The ones where a ton of bikes were sold to non-racers and the sport was thriving?

I completely encourage my kids to follow a similar path. MX is a hobby, if you can makes some money while riding more power to you but first off it should be fun.............

Just out of curiosity, do all the people who shit on Axell share the same kind of hate for Brett Cue??? They both have ridiculous style on a bike and are fun to watch, just have different personalities. No reason to bitch about how they go about making money.

And I agree, he has take what Twitch started and made it even more of a thing. Freeriding and content on social media, that's all the sponsors want anyway. Likes and views = a good paycheck.

He has some incredible bike skills that anyone on this board would be glad to have.

Well I kinda looked at it like this - It cost $11 and lasted 45 minutes. It was raining so not much else to do.
The last AMA race we did cost around $175 and one kid got about 15 minutes of track time. So by comparison it was worth it, lol...............

F*&% Style, speed is all that matters. In college lacrosse my teammates would be awarding themselves style points when they scored against some sorry ass defense, I hated that shit. I just like guys that are clutch, style or no.

I've never seen so much hate and jealousy toward a dirt bike rider that we know very little about. Isn't there something better or more worthy to be hated on than a kid who rides a dirt bike for a living. Never would I have imagined a motocross forum have so much hate for another motocross rider. Shouldn't any hate on this forum be for quad riders or something? This whole thing just confuses me and all the hate that you guys are spewing, is actually just helping Axell make even more money because people that don't know who he is will now go look him up.

I have an easy fix for you... don't watch his videos then. There are a lot of artists music that I don't like that are very famous. I don't hate on them, obviously they're making great money to sing so they appeal to soneone. I just don't tune in. It's that simple really. The jealousy comes from people talking smack for nothing.

Nope what? I can tell you right now , he did not make his fortune by selling the fender bench. Most ideas like that barely break even , let alone make any money off of it what so ever.
