Not sure what races you have been watching but if there was still a "Hard Charger" award, Ryan would have won quite a few of them over the last two months.

Dungey has had more luck in his career than any other rider that I can think of. Tomac deserves to win the championship, that's for sure.

If Dungey does win this year, it will be luck on his side.....again. And I hope he retires.

Excellent point. In the past I would have said Eli was MUCH more likely to throw a race away than Dungey, but he has been super solid lately so I am not sure if that is going happen this SX season. I think the chances of Dungey throwing one away are VERY slim due to his history. The scenario for Eli to throw one away would be something like a really bad start, then charging too hard to get back to the front, and crashes badly. As long as Eli keeps getting decent starts, I seriously doubt that he is going to throw one away.

Implying that any of Dungey's succes is "luck" is just wrong.
There's a lot of guys out there who deserve, but there's only one championship title to take.
Racer that makes the least mistakes and is the best overall takes it, simple.

Dungey already had more than his fair share of bad luck. You seem to be unaware of that, please do some research before posting stuff like that.
From the top of my head he lost 2 championships due to bad luck, which IMO in racing is when somebody crashes into you, or DNF due to a mechanical.

Agree. 8-10 weeks ago I would have easily said Eli throws it away because he can only do one thing to get back in it. Go all out and win and win often. These next five rounds, I don't think Dungey lays down. He's too much of a fighter. So, in this recent context, Ryan's more likely (imho) to make a mistake. And that's fine. Both riders will give it all they got and we're in for a special ending to this series.

Eli is 110% riding that bike like RV steering with the rear blowing up turns so great....
Dungey stepped it up against Ken in round 2 or 3 ... I expected him to at least battle up there with Eli, he has to be hurt IMHO.

Ryan's doing okay and should take the title down to the wire. Eli is on a charge of late, but something always throws a spoke in the wheel as they head through to Vegas.

Everyone is rooting for Dungey to win. Some, because they like Ryan, understand how hard he works and how good he is. Others, because they don't like Ryan and need a reason to vent their spleen.

A guy crashes once while dominating a series and all of a sudden he's forever known as some one who always throws it away? But yet there's some people who still think JS7 can win a title. I've been reading on here for weeks how prone Eli is to making huge mistakes and giving up large amounts of points but yet he's been making up ground on Mr. Consistent himself pretty steadily. If it wasn't for Kawi's brake problem in Arlington I say this championships basically already decided.
