Of another injury perhaps! Looks like he isn't willing to push out of comfort riding zone!

He isn't scared and he's not riding out of comfort zone. Bottom line tomac is getting the starts and that's it. Very impressive how dungey rode through the pack.

No it wasn't impressive at all. He quickly passed the guys he's capable of lapping. Then hit a wall when trying to pass Grant and Millsaps. He should be able to pass those two much quicker. He needs to be more aggressive. It was frustrating as a fan watching him last night.

No, Dungey just could not buy a good start.

Like Eli could not early in the season.

Not scared, just doesn't ride outside his comfort zone (especially when he still has the points lead) which usually isn't faster than everyone else. His problem is someone is faster than him and consistent.
Before in 3 races there would be 3 different winners but they would all get a 4th and a 6th the other 2 races, meanwhile Dungey would be in 2nd for everyone of them.

I think dungey is tired not scared. He looks like RV did in his podium speeches and in the post race interviews. Just burnt out. Hes been doing this as a pro for 10 years now and hasnt really stopped until his injury in outdoors last year. You have to think at this point he is getting worried about the championship but i honestly dont think hes going to be that upset if loses it. He knows he has proved how fast he is. It does look that this will be his last year racing and im sure he wants to leave the sport healthy.

There was a certain amount of one linery last night, I believe Dungey getting caught up in Millsaps' pace for way too long was evidence of that. The track was good but very, very tight and very, very icey.

I wouldn't wait up too late for Crossrut.
Think the boss gave him some time off.

Thank you Steve....

You seem to forget just a week ago when Dungey and Tomac started together and the result was exactly the same. Dungey's needed to make things happen the past couple weeks and he just hasn't.

This is why i believe he is tired and over worked. Hes losing speed where he is supposed to shine. He didn't get the nickname the diesel for nothing.

Your man boy crush has had great starts. He is in the top 5 after lap 1 every single round (besides daytona). He has 23 laps to work, and he doesn't. He is the 3rd best guy out there. simple.

Frustrated certainly, scared, he is too good and works too hard to be scared.

With age though usually comes calculated risks instead of just risk for the sake of it.

When any activity becomes your job, everything changes. And I think he is the most calculating rider since Reed.
I'm not a Reed fan, but wrestling two championships in the RC and JS "sort of" era was impressive.

Shit happens, but age and marriage change people. I love the guy for doing what many would have laughed at not many years ago, bringing KTM a SX championship! Get older, have a ton of cash...I suspect he does some quick calculations prior to pulling the trigger.

He certainly has more patience than us arm chair watchers. He doesn't care if it takes laps to pass someone if the next pass is not going to happen in the race he is in. We are on the edge of our seat going, give him the Bam-Bam treatment, but he knows how well that works. You don't get points for big crashes. Plus, hardly anyone messes with him because he doesn't mess with them.

His formula has served him very well! And he is probably one of the best role models the sport has ever seen.
And, through his philanthropy work, that will continue. He seems like the type of person who can do more than one great thing in his lifetime.

I wish him luck.

It was awesome the last two years when RD was winning lots. All his haters STFU and it was nice! As soon as another rider stepped up his game, sure as a fly to shit, they're backPinch
