No I haven't heard back yet. Last contact I had with him was when he asked me which caliper adaptor to use to get his rotor to work on the rm for your bike actually.

Yeah, x2 on the cr caliper bracket. Around that time I asked him about the rear rotor and told him it appeared we had five guys on board. He said he would try and put something together through vital. I'll follow up.

Great job on the build! I always got a bit excited when your thread pops to the top again, with updates. I've had a few rm250's, and hadn't even thort of half the stuff you did to yours.

I know you have answered questions about some of the different coatings, but I didn't see what you used on the inner clutch cover? I'm guessing powder coated? And power valve covers, powder coated also? Different textures?

Thanks! The inner clutch cover and power valve covers were coated by Motowhips. The coating is either anodize or akadize.

Did you send your side plates in to have he graphics done, or just cut down the full-size ones?

BTW.....I think Blown06 is your brother? he had me crackin' up big time with all his transmission posts , and the way he was saying things! Your brother kicks ass on getting a tranny put back together , 10X better than stock! If he's up for hire on another RM transmission in the future , I may hire the guy. Looks like he does some awesome work!

I started with full size RM backgrounds and used them to make templates. Once I got the templates dialed, I mailed them to Bryar at 180 Decals and he made the rear number plate decals. They came out perfect! I highly recommend 180 decals.

Thanks, haha yeah he is my brother. He does a great job! He assembled the entire motor. He takes the term "attention to detail" to a whole new level. I assure you he would be beyond stoked to work on your motor/trans! Mine shifts unbelievably smooth!

Wow, wasn't expecting this much reaction but it really turned out good. Thanks for the comments guys.

Probably the coolest thing about this whole deal is that sitting on the stand next to his 2016 KTM 450, the bikes look like they belong together on the same track....then back to reality, you snap your neck when it hits you that the bikes are over a decade apart.

Pre '04 CR/CRF, RM 2t and KX 2t all use the same brake hanger. I have 3 RM 2t (04, 06, '06 RC edition) and have had a 95 and 01 CR250 and 99 KX250. You could swap the brackets interchangeably.. I did

Suzuki may use the same brake hanger on the RMZ I have no experience with the 4t

I don't want to pound the nail too hard but the front caliper is interchangeable once the hanger is swapped (assuming you use an 07 up CRF front brake, there is not much reason to swap the CR front unless you want cheaper parts and a higher quality lever). On all my RMs, I put a complete 07 up CRF front brake. Caliper is lighter (marginally, can't remember the difference), front res has better protected line routing and (IMHO) better feel. I swapped all three, takes about 15 minutes. You can swap the CR front but you don't get the linkage style brake lever. Everyone was copying Honda's brake (if memory serves, the M/S and line routing were both patented) which is why the 96-RM, KX and 95-04 CR had the same hanger.
