Monday at PT I overheard a 50 something year old man talking about his glory days of high school wrestling. All I could think of myself was damn how unexciting has life been for this guy to still be talking about high school sports. You guys know you know that type of person. I often get think the same thing when people bring up Bubba. Yes, he was great, but let's move on. Even Bubba himself has already moved on.
Are you new to the sport?

You think James Stewart's accomplishments in the sport are on par with a highschool wrestler? When is the last Supercross race where there was only 1 guy in the whole field doing some high risk, crazy ass jump on the track? People still talk about him b/c he is arguably the most naturally talented guy to ever swing a leg over a dirtbike and basically reinvented how to go fast. The guy was the first high profile black athlete the sport has seen and I've personally heard rednecks say "Oh great, N-words are trying to take over our sport now" when he was making a name for himself so imagine the shit that dude has heard as redneck rooted as American Motocross is but said fuck it I'm doing this.

The guy deserves all the credit in the world for what he has done and accomplished in the sport. I always see on here "he owes the fans, what about his fans, we deserve an explanation, etc." These guys risk life and limb week in and week out so, we the fans, can have a sport to love, talk about, look forward to watching, get together with family and friends over, etc. and because of that they will feel the years of constantly injuring and torturing their bodies for the rest of their lives while making a fraction of the money they pay some dickhead to kick a field goal.

In regards to moving on...why did you click on the thread?

I knew as soon as people started calling him 'the fastest man on the planet' it wouldn't end up well.
At one point he was, but it just doesn't feel right saying that now.

Very few nicknames people had when they where younger are still relevant as they get older. Unless you sucked a cock, you deserve to be called a cock sucker the rest of your life.

Watched some 2006 SX yesterday, how he did not win that title is crazy he was so much faster than RC and Reed at a lot of the races. 2011 same thing easily the fastest and easily the one who yard sailed the most.

It's crazy that James was just on another level than anyone at High Point in 2014 and I believe that next week the news came out that he tested positive and he was never on that level again.

That was awesome and I'm a fan, but from this guy'a point of view, on the second pass it seemed kind of reckless of James to whip in front of and cross jump in front of somebody over a jump like that.. maybe he knew he'd be well ahead of him by the time he left the ground, but from that video it looked like he had a little disregard for this guy.
The guy was riding in first gear, looks back and observes / hears a faster rider coming but decides to stay smack dab in the middle of the track.

I get that he paid his cash to be on the track. But move over, If your not you might get whipped on by a faster guy as a wake up call.

Who beat RV straight up more times in supercross? Stewart or Dungey? I'm guessing Stewart...

Remember the time at the Des Nations when Everts railed the outside of a turn, standing, and passing Stewart in the process? Woohoo

Dude that was a sweet video. I would be geeking out way more though. Like first pumping him as he blew by me.
