I think that the general MX public should probably be on 4T for the safety factor. But racing was so much better on the 2T as little mistakes cannot be made up by simply twisting the throttle harder.
Sport and business go together, so this is what we have, and we will likely see a field of electric bikes before we see 2T in SX again... and it will be even more boring :-(
2-strokes aren't coming back in pro racing. But make the bikes slower, or the obstacles harder would make the "racing" better.

No more Handicap classing is what should be done.
It's simple, no more BS - and it would make for better, more interesting racing.
And then, the OP had that vile line of "jumping (the woops) them like a coward". Utterly reprehensible. Ever more Vitardness.
As for the sport, which is a completely different discussion, absolutely it would help in the long run. More expensive bikes and maintenance results in fewer local riders which equals less of everything else in the sport.

No
Would be cool as hell but no
I think
Me
Just some nobody
If there were more money for the top 20 to make
Then those who are in that club would put more effort in there program and you would see much more close bar banging every week
That is what people want to see
Dont reply and try and convince me that all these guys are training 14 hrs per day and doing it all rocky balboa style cuz they don't
I know a guy who works 16hr per day at roadway/yellow trucking
7 days per week
$150K/year
And his last hr of the day is no slower than his first
Wonder if nick Schmidt #75 makes $150k/yr???
The top 40 should make at least that
He got 20th last week I think
The middle ground is to forget 450s... They have the same or more horsepower that time and wisdom deemed as too much 20 years ago... And now they're better suspended, better braked and the stadiums and bones haven't changed.
So they make the tracks tight, the berms are gone, so inside, inside, follow the fucking leader. SX is broken as hell.
Stanton, MC and Wardy all have said why not make 250 four strokes the premier class and make 125s entry. Racing would benefit, can open the tracks up etc.
Fuck, 250s do the same lap times and jump combos as 450s anyways, so what does that tell you?!
Get over 2 strokes already
All SX needs is one thing:
More than two Elite riders, followed by 8-12 good riders, and then a bunch of privateers that dont even belong on the property with the two elite guys.
