That's some really gnarly shit. I can't imagine how that feels to hold on to a handelbar through every single jump and bump on the track for two days. Without the armpump in the first moto he would have probably bagged a top 10 to go with that 11th in the second moto. Crazy to think that that's his pace when he's just trying to get around the track.

Hakan Carlqvist had a appendectomy with no anesthesia while leading a GP at Namur and got back on the bike and won.

I will stand by that statement. Riding with a broken femur in 2014 and now this. I haven't seen any other rider do something similar(active pros).

Maybe they realize riding with a broken femur is a terrible idea?

definitely tough as nails but I really don't think it will pay off with 3 mxgp champions on the line.

Webb won a championship starting with a broken wrist, we will see how he does.

Darrell Schultz checked himself out of the hospital long enough to finish winning a National Championship at Carlsbad in 1982. Pretty much ended his career but he got the job done.

Yea having an appendectomy in the pits between Moto's is an incredible accomplishment!

The same injury that ended Rick Johnsons career.

It was during the race, he had a fantastic lead and there was a surgeon's office on the main road which was part of the track, he had a quick beer and thought what the hell might as well yank out the appendix while he had time, the rest is history

Cool. I've never seen that.

I'm the bloke that Ismo Vehkonen jumps past on the downhill double at 21:08!

Umm. Webb is pretty gnarly with the whole riding with a broken wrist and all. And ended up winning the championship. I'd say the dude is in the ballpark for what you consider "tough".

Josh Grant too. Tried to ride with both his tali in pieces after he boke them at X-Games. Then he replicated multiple times with broken feet, sprains etc. Tough dude too.
