I feel the same. We got some good ones this year for $64 a piece, but I remember back in '09 it was like $30 a ticket and we were row 5 lower level at the tunnel.

Already got my tickets for Detroit. After fees they were $56.95/Ea.

Are you holding the 30 second card for $191 each??

Got my ATL tix in the mezzanine level section 215 for $49ea, but the sections after us (216 and the rest down the "middle" section) were all over $100 each. Pretty ridiculous indeed.

Last time my son and I went to Detroit, about 3 years ago, I bought mid level seats and paid about $140 each. That was the last SX I've been to. I took my son to Mt. Morris the same year, then asked him which he preferred, and he said MX without a doubt. So, there ya have it.Cool

We had tickets last week for Minneapolis $62 ea after fees. We bought them ahead of time. 2nd level good seats. No reason to spend $200 on a ticket at floor level.

Ticket prices for Dallas have been crazy for the past 3 years but this year they went back to normal from what I saw. I bought a few tickets in a premium location for $88 a piece in January and then 2 more tickets in the same area the week before the race for $65 a piece. All from Ticketmaster. Last year tickets in this section were well over $100 each. Some were $180!

I believe the face value of the ticket is what Feld actually gets or maybe even just a portion of that. Ticket resellers like ticketmaster will mark the ticket up if they feel the demand is there and the spread is all theirs so Feld isn't directly benefitting from the price gouging like you'd think. I'm sure somebody that knows about the way all of this works can help clarify but the problem is with ticket resellers and it isn't unique to Supercross.

I don't get it, the stands look pretty empty each week. I am no expert but surely 50,000 people paying 30 bucks is better than 15,000 people paying 100 a ticket? Same income but WAY better atmosphere.

I have attended Atlanta Supercross every year for the past 20 years and yes they rise every single year.
Except two years ago when the introduced back to back rounds in the Georgia Dome when they were less.

This year I purchased 8 tickets section 118 row 18

After tax and fees $ 838.40

Highest ever paid. But it will be the last one in the Georgia Dome and Maybe EVER in Atlanta.

Track is sick!!!! gonna be a great race!!! PONY UP AND MAKE IT HAPPEN

I know this question isn't about ticket prices, however, what is so bad about just going into the pits with a monster can? Would I pay the $10-$20 extra to clean out some of the rift raft from the pits? For sure. But my thinking is if there's going to be an opportunity to get into the pits basically free, I'm going to take advantage of it. I'm seriously asking this though, like I'll be there in the can line this weekend, is there any benefit to buying the pit pass instead besides dodging the can line?

You have to wait in a seperate line just to gain access via the can line.
Then another line to get in with general paid admition.

Have you been in the Atlanta pits?

I would attend once for the "experience" .. maybe

Other than that it's elbows to assholes everywhere

The seats near the floor aren't even worth it, no point in paying that much to see 3 sections all night. Get a seat in the middle deck and you can see all the track, and usually cheaper.

The pits are jam packed. You can't hardly move around in them. I think Trevor is saying that he'd rather them charge a premium, so less people are in the pits.

Yeah, exactly. You're always going to have people in the pits for the wrong reasons(hounding riders for gear, parts, what have you), but with actually having to pay to get in, you have to believe that would help. I know when I go to the Tennessee National, the pits are borderline baron because not too many people want to pay extra to just walk around in them. That benefits the people that do pay that extra by them getting to see basically as many bikes and riders as they have time for.

...yep. And wait to buy them at the stadium to avoid any processing and convenience fees. Most stadiums are so empty that you can move to another area once the racing gets going if you really hate where you're sitting. I never feel bad about it, I'm just helping the lower bowl look full for TV Laughing

Be sure that you're not getting your tickets through a reseller. A few years ago, I went so the STL race and the buddy I went with paid $55 for $10 tickets. Get your tickets through either the venue or ticketmaster.

Bro, Dallas SX tickets were as low as $14. Mine were $20. I see this shitty thread every year.

You want to know what I've had enough of? $40 for parking. It was as much as the 2 tickets I bought and Arlington has no public transport, you have to drive to the stadium. It's all a racket. Just find a price point that doesn't leave you walking away bow legged.
