I'll compile stats on average finishes between reed and Dungey tomorrow. It will be of their first 7 years in the premier class to keep it equal. I'm anxious as well.
From 2003 to 2010 Reed completed 120 races, with 105 podium finishes. I don't have top 5 or top 10 stats on me.

Stewart changed the game with the scrub, everyone else had to start doing it if they wanted to compete.
Dungey is changing the game yet again with consistency, everyone is going to have to virtually eliminate bad finishes if they want a shot at the championship. By looking at Dungey's stats above, his competition should consider anything outside the top 5 a "bad night."
Let's do these #'s on current races to date, since turning pro, both SX and MX results. Not the 6 or 7 year #'s. Every race that they've raced in...

Langhammx, it's a lot easier and a more fair comparison to compare them in equal races. If Reed wasn't so fast, stubborn and a rev head he would have retired 5 years ago like most of his peers.
Also, remember Reed only rode 1 season of the 125/250F class and he didn't want to do that.. How well he adapted to SX is impressive given he didn't grow up in America around SX. I personally think this is one of the more amazing facts about Reed.
