Riding / racing accomplishments: Mostly race hare scrambles, plenty of B class wins and top 3's, but the best accomplishment would be sandbagging in the B class and not moving to A for the last 10 years, (yeah I'm that guy). Love riding moto, but never enjoyed racing on the track as much as the woods.

I make custom bicycle components on the side for some of the elite bmx'ers around the globe. A few olympians and several champions. No real accomplishments for me aside from regional stuff. Profession: Gas Corrosion Control Engineer

Current rides: 2005 KX125/Buying new this summer sometime.

Greatest accomplishment: My Family/My Job

Riding/ racing accomplishment: Winning a lot of races in my first year of riding. Nothing special just local stuff but to pick it up late in life and start winning very quickly makes me proud of the work I use to put it on a bike.

Misc: My wife tells me I have way to many hobbies but I don't. I own the stuff to have a lot of different hobbies but never get to use it. I guess the older guys were always right when they said stuff changes when you get married and have a family. But I wouldn't change it for the world.

Don't own a dirt bike currently because I get hurt too much on them to keep my day job. (I am not dangerous it just seems like something always happens)

Started riding at 5 on a ttr 90. At 8 I started racing a KTM 65. Last race bike I had was an 07 CR250f which was when I was 16. Stopped racing to finish public school and play stick and ball sports.

Best moto memory: watching James Stewart's final Loretta's. He was riding a 125 faster than I had ever seen anyone ever ride one and it hooked me forever.

Other non moto hobbies: deer and duck hunting. Crappie fishing. Stock car racing. Going snowboarding for vacation and hanging out at the lake during the summer months.

Favorite Rider: Cole Seeley, Eli Tomac, Bubba Stewart

Profession: Product Dev. Engineer (Automotive OEM)

Misc: I raced district 5 from 2002 to 2008 and stopped due to a few bad crashes in a row. Was always just in it for fun and getting hurt wasn't appealing so quit before it was time to move from a 125 to a 250f. In the meantime I stayed involved in the sport through restoring bikes with my dad and still attended a few nationals. I've been talking with him about getting bikes again the last few years but I moved a few states away from work once college ended and havn't pulled the trigger. I also enjoy Mountain Biking, Skiing, Golfing, and Cars.

Kidding! Here's the truth below.

Name: John (my friends, for some reason, call me Johnny D. Never asked for that, but there it is.)

Age: 55

Profession: Quality Assurance currently assigned to the Super Hornet PMI & MOD program, but I retire this year and can't wait.

Favorite Rider(s): I like them all. They entertain us by putting their health on the line for glory, money and the thrill of victory. What's not to like? I will admit to being partial to Slipdog, Jeffbro, Peely, Cambro and a bunch of you Vital bros.

Miscellaneous: Served 7 years active duty in Navy helicopters (SH-3s). Married for 33 years. Two fine sons. One rides pretty good. I got my first, first-place trophy last year in a "Vet Int" race. I started racing many years ago, and actually led a few races, but always had something strange happen. Once, a flat tire. Another time I had assembled my handlebar clamps with the dot towards me...didn't work. Had the lead another time and got T-boned.

My first bike was a 1974 YZ80. My current bike is a 2013 YZ250 that I've spent so much money on that my wife is losing her patience!

Final note: DV12, I remember some nuts on here saying you were a "never was." Reading your accomplishments - of which I was only partially aware - should end that stupid statement pretty quick.
PMI... that was going to put me out of a job, but instead, all we have now is models that don't make sense instead of drawings ,

Current Ride: no bikes anymore only a MTB, i ride occasionally on friends there bike though
Riding / racing accomplishments: 3x Belgium champion in the youth devisions 1993 1995 and 1998.
Misc: I work hard, made a plan for a Dream about moving to USA or Canada, Moto is my main sport and have loved it all my life. When life is treating me a wee bit better i plan on owning a bike again

Riding accomplishment: Winning GLMX 30+ B/C Championship 2011, 2nd place at the Perry Mountain 24 hour team race 30+, LL Regionals for 30+ and 25+ a few different times. Pontiac SX in '88 was my first pro race to see. Had me hooked.

Misc: I grew up riding all the time with my family, we all raced for a period of time but financially it was difficult with 4 boys and my dad racing. I raced for a year in high school when I could foot the bill but wasn't able to pursue it any longer than that due to multiple injuries (Torn ACL, Separated shoulder, collapsed lung, broken back). We have a lot of single track enduro up here in Northern BC so all of the time I spend riding is on that. My Dad is mid 50's and he still gives all of us younger guys a run for our money in the trails.

Sorry buddy, I must have missed the news. Hope your recovery is going well. My advice is be compliant with meds.....Betas, thinners, and continue to live life! Stay out of A-fib! Getting hit with 100-150 joules doesnt feel good I'm sure. Take care.
