On a side note, RC has definitely been doing some media training. He's gotten waaaaay better over the off-season. Wander if that was what he was referring to as his goal.
Gotta give props to the interviewer too.
He is asking the right questions and looks like a comfortable setting rather than rushed trackside sound bites or live studio waffle.

I really like stuff like that. Looking forward (hopefully) to some bench racing sessions with Carmichael/Stewart together or Villo/Stewart/Dungey around. Some of the Wardy/RJ/Decoster stories around a fire are classic. The '88 des Nations story about Lechien comes to mind. Hannah on Decoster is up there too and Decoster on Magoo at the '82 des Nations.

That is a great interview with Ricky, he gave good details about the Unadilla crash with Bubba.

Awesome interview, "pure talent and one of the fastest guys ever on a motorcycle", Ricky's always had so much respect for James.

This is the best video I've ever seen on vital.

I know both the families, and there is so much respect between those two riders.

Story:
GatorBack
Ricky riding 1st 125 national
During practice

Riding over to the Stewart camp- along the spectator fence: canapy next to me (10' away) on the side of the track (before the elevator), to talk with ?big James?

James is like 11 years old. Didn't hear the words.

These guys are friends - like it or not.

Any problems will wash out with time.

These will be old Men soon with racing stories.
RC's first National was at Steel City. I was there that day at Gator Back.

Cool video.

They raced each other for 2.5 seasons!
You would think, RC knows what he is talking about. Reed was fast in SX, but never had anything for RC in MX. That last year 2007 Reed was not on the same level as those two. Reed did step it back though.

You guys are crazy for thinking riders aren't doping at some level. It's a multi-million dollar sport at the top with a short window to make that money, I'm sure they want to maximize their earnings.

99% percent of riders run out of talent way before they run out of oxygen...

Fitness has become overrated in this sport. It isn't the "end all be all" to going fast on a dirtbike for 20 minutes. Sure, it will help you out, especially when your technique isn't where it could be, or you aren't completely mentally prepared. but, the most talented guy in the room, with the most confidence in himself, is going to win....always.

I can't buy that. I'm sure a few guys could run a few laps at the pace of Roczen & Dung, but to run that pace for 20 laps? Those two are in top shake & it shows!

Can't remember the year but it was Salt Lake SX and Carmichael got beat by Chad and was pissed. He felt like Ferry and Reed were double teaming him. Anyways Carmichael pulled off the track and was screaming at Mathes who was wrenching for ferry and shortly after Big James put his arm around Carmichael and walked him out of the stadium. Def made me wonder if these families were much closer than portrayed.

you missed the point entirely. My point is, PED's aren't going to make you better at riding a dirtbike. If you want to go Roczen's speed, you need Roczen's skills and mentality.

Musquin isn't riding around in third place because his fitness is lacking. He's riding around in 3rd because he has less skill and ability than Dungey or Roczen.

...and of course you have proof that Carmichael did this, because surely no one would be stupid enough to make such a serious allegation without proof, would they??

Let's see what you have...

Great videos, very professional...

Btw... Rc mentions something I have done for decades- pick the safest spots possible to ride over your head when trying to make up time.... Much safer losing it in a corner when riding over your head compared to going for some quad nobody has ever made...
