Why does the game seem to go faster on PS4 compared to PS3? Is there a way to slow it down?

That is awesome that they finally did this though. Thanks!!!

I'll be picking it up for Xbox One.

I'm also patiently waiting for when I'll be able to race the expansion packs tracks online in a public lobby. They had it going on PS3/Xbox 360 but not on Xbox One yet. Those track designs are the tits.

While I think the physics for the new mx vs atv games are shit, I will buy this game so they understand this is a step in the right direction. I want to support companies making good moves. I've been a mxgp game die hard and this may have just sold me on buying mx vs atv again

Yep its been out for a while. I want to say it was $1.99 or $3.99 and it gives two 250 2 strokes and two 500 2 strokes.

Hey guys....since we don't have a game room here any more....what's your thoughts on MGP 2016 , compared to the 2015 version? There is a guy over on the sim boards ( my main board for my driving sims ) who is the guy that created the AMA mod for the MXGP 2016 game. They still want $50.00 for the game , so I'll wait uintil it's on sale , but just wanted your thoughts. I like the MXGP game quite a bit but got bored after a while.

Looks like I have a legit reason to upgrade from PS3 to PS4 now. I'll still be a cheapskate and pickup a used console from GameStop or something.

Well worth the money. My favorite motocross video game. More tracks and improvements over the first one. Also first person mode is amazing.

I know a lot of people really love MX Sim, but I don't think the fact that the game is hard as hell and has an extremely steep learning curve necessarily means that it's realistic.

What i don't get is why everyone complains about the physics of the game all the time. They're fine i can throw the fattest whips in this game and if u can't then keep playing it sucks at first but gets easy quick.

You can get MXGP2 for a lot less from g2a.com. I buy almost all my PC games from g2a!

Honestly i find it hard to get excited about this, this was an obvious business move they missed out on year after year, which they actually should have been doing for years.

Now trying and prolong encore by doing this makes me unhappy because i wish they were developing next versions

I have plenty of issues with Encore, for sure. However, anyone who doesn't think this is a HUGE positive move isn't much of a gaming fan of our sport.

It has been 16 years....16.....since we have had replica Supercross tracks on a console game dating way back to EA Supercross and Supercross Circuit. And Rainbow/THQ/Nordic have NEVER had replica tracks (other than the superb JS7 Compound) dating way back to MX Unleashed which was around 2004 or so. That's 13 years. To finally make this happen is great, great news that I, and we, should all be thankful to THQ/Nordic for as MX gamers.

Yes, this is long overdue but at least it has finally happened. And moving forward, the support we give them on these replica tracks will show them that they are vital to their games from now on.

This is great news for gaming of our sport. Yes, the game still has it's flaws but they just fixed THE biggest issue in making replica tracks. Tracks, to me, make a huge difference, even more so than any one other aspect, and replicas are the only way to go. Too many liberties were taken with their custom tracks. And how cool will it be to ride the track days before the event. Finally, great marketing from this team and from the only team currently making a console Supercross title.

Thanks for helping make it happen, MX45! I have bitched, cried, begged, pleaded and screamed for replicas and you guys made it happen. For this fan of MX gaming, I am thankful! Smile

Great move by Nordic. Will purchase this day of release. This needs to be the norm. Like mentioned earlier, it's been since EA / Supercross Circuit that we've seen replicas on a major gaming platform. Maybe Monster Cup tracks in the future? Or how about replica tracks of the past? US Opens, previous years (LA Coliseum, 86 Anaheim....), Bercy/Lille/Euro SXs (a muddy Seville, Spain to change it up!), AUS X Open, and others. It's a good can of worms to open up!

I agree. I've been into pc / online mx games since the late 90s with MCM1 and if there is something that the community has done time and time again, it's creating user content in the form of often Replica tracks. This started way back in the early 2000's with replica stuff for MCM2, later that evolved into Mx vs Atv Unleashed for pc being released with a track editor. Followed by both Mx Simulator & Mx vs Atv Reflex also having replica tracks and user created content.

I am hyped up to atleast see a game studio take this idea and trying to do something with it.

Beyond stoked. Will be so fun to race some real tracks.

Random question but I've been getting into building tracks in blender / unity and wondering if anyone plays in those programs? Could be cool to build some sort of simple mx game.

I'm really not turning this thread into a debate, but you can test those tracks out in MXS if you want to play them.

I think Reflex also is capable.

This. Ive already played many 2017 Sx Tracks with the replica environments and sections scaled accurately to the blueprints all the way down to the measurements between jumps and jump heights, as well as tracks back to 2010 and some before that as well, New and updated nationals each year, same goes for Loretta Lynn's and other amateur nationals, all the real life replica factory test tracks, many replica local tracks, all the mxgp tracks, etc. Mx vs ATV was good during the reflex times and even then MXS blows them out of the water. You just have to take the time to learn MXS to truly enjoy it. Not to mention $1.99 for 1 set of new graphics on MvA versus new graphics, gear, helmets, goggles etc. every day on MXS

MXS is tough to beat

Guys, seriously? MXS is fine but for God's sake, please don't feel the need to re-iterate the same thing on every other post regarding a game developer that makes a MX game. It is so annoying.

Some of us are excited that a console developer has, for the first time since 2001, aligned themselves with the Supercross series to produce replica tracks. Yes, we know user content has been made in the past for PC and I enjoy that too but please give it a rest. Everyone knows about your game. If they want to play it, fine, but if people are excited to have replicas on a console and a company working with the series sponsors then PLEASE let us enjoy that.

Until MXS gets programmed AI, and it never will, understandably, then it will not be my MX gaming choice. Reflex on PC replica tracks are brilliant but again user made tracks have zero to dismal trained AI riding. Not everyone plays online. Those games are dependent on online gameplay.

Let's move on. This thread is about MVA Supercross Encore 2017 Official Track Edition. Do not feel the need to hijack every MX gaming thread. Sim is great for what it is but it is NOT the answer to what everyone wants so let gamers have a choice without bombarding them every time another company's game is mentioned.

Please.

THQ was headed towards bankruptcy (defaulted on a $50 million loan) and many divisions were discontinued or sold (not just Rainbow) as last ditch efforts to stay afloat. Inevitably they did go bankrupt and the remaining divisions were auctioned off. Nordic got the THQ trademark and re-started the MX vs ATV franchise. Thats why there were no further developments.

Well said, my friend. Time and place. Thank you.

For a major gaming company to finally make replicas of Monster Energy Supercross for consoles is nothing but GREAT news.

I have actually rediscovered my excitement for Encore with the dlc tracks over the past couple of months. I picked them up on sale for silly money and they are imo a huge improvement over the stock circuits that initially come with the game. Some tough technical layouts, better scaling, mostly solid AI for offline - there's a lot to look on positively with Encore, certainly not all bad. Will definitely be getting this.
