But the WP AER48 forks are constantly getting updated. This is already the 3rd version with small adjustments.
At least people with 2017's can be happy that the bike will not be changed much for 2018.
And here they are. A stocker with pre-selected aftermarket parts for those who all want their bikes to look alike.
Where I live we have only Yamaha and Honda (and sometimes a Kawi). Standard (non-FE) KTM 250 are over 15k usd and Yamaha/Honda only 7k usd, also there are no KTM parts available so it's a no brainer.
Thing is all of the 450's are good (regardless of Suzukis lack of development)...and the Japanese bikes still win, so what incentive is there for the Japanese to do the same thing? KTM started doing this because their KTM 4 strokes at the time was way behind the Japanese bikes, so that greatly benefitted the race teams especially basically having next years bikes for the current year.
I think KTM will stop this FE models soon especially as they are starting to build a lot more other bikes/models, therefore tying up their production factories. It is a good money spinner for them though.

But there's no way I'd spend that much on a 450! Over 10K is insane imo. Plus, a lot riders would have the suspension done as well.
For me. I have 2016 Kawi 450 I bought new on a good deal. Had FC do my suspension, Added an FMF Slip on and number of other nice parts and still don't have near that much money in it.
