They have around 1500 earthquakes a year in Japan so hopefully this won't make too much difference. We were told mid December for the crf450r in the UK

Yes, finally making it Red.

They just need to get rid of the black section on the rad shrouds (who thought that looked good?), and even the black over the tank.

The white number plates - fair enough, you've a place to put numbers.

LOL!!!
Maybe the Tsunami will transport an airtight sea can full of 450 up onto North American soil. Just as long as the people of Japan ate safe and not severely impacted by the tsunami, I can wait for a Honda. As already stated getting the Honda is a first world problem. I will keep riding my recalled 2008 rmz til the snow flies.

They've landed in Germany

That earthquake was nowhere near the Honda factory where these bikes are being manufactured. There wasn't even a tremor felt.

The UK will also get the Buildbase Honda edition which I'm told comes this year with Talon wheels, Yoshimura pipe, an extra set of plastics with Buildbase graphics and a different set cover.

Dread to think how much they want for that as the 17 250 version of that bike which is effectively a 16 is nearly £8k

The black area is a high contact area. Graphics will be scratched/eroded off in a matter of months in that location.

Im sure Throttle Jockey or someone else will sell you a red graphic to cover it.

I don't mind it at all.

That's because KTM is a great company and recalls their stuff, where as Honda tells you to go fuck yourself.

If you build it correctly you don't need to recall. Recalls should never be looked at as a good thing.

If you think KTM is "voluntarily" recalling their stuff you are drunk. Just saying,..

I'be been patient, but am starting to get concerned that we will hear about the 2017 450sxf factory edition before the crf450r hits the showroom. Then I will have to start re analyzing which bike to get.

Come on Honda save me from more stress and take my money!
4th place in a major mag shootout! KTM, Husky, Kawasaki, Honda. Maybe not worth waiting for. :-(

I stopped by my local dealer today. They're saying two 450s are coming in on the 30th of November.

Heard the same thing from more than one publication, that it's not all its cracked up to be. I heard they put it on the dyno and it wasn't what was claimed and forks were no good. That's what I heard, don't shoot the messenger.

I think ML was concerned from the start they would be to rigid for us mortals in rough tracks.
