Are Tusk products manufactured in China or are they manufactured by another company that just rebrands a product?

Seem most of their stuff has high ratings on RMATV at considerable less cost.

Probably a mix of manufacturers. I have had great luck with most of their stuff I have gotten from RM. Their clutch pack was a little week on my CR250r and the axle blocks seem a little soft.

I'm a pretty big fan of their tools and have had good luck. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything they make. Really fighting back the urge on a set of wheels but if I get a coupon in my email that might do me in

I've bought a bunch of Tusk products and have been very happy with all of them. Especially their wheels. Also have a tire changing stand, wheel truing stand, clutch plates, and miscellaneous levers and perches. As good as the "name" brands but way cheaper.

Some of TUSK is made in china..but from the better of the suppliers...and yes their are some of their products are made by other known companies as a spinoff of their own production....all their stuff is pretty damn good aside from their clutches....and those clutches still may be a great product for a regular weekend rider,..but you cant use their clutches for practice/or racing....the Tusk wheels are the best bang for the buck....i had 2 sets, and they held up great....but if you run lower psi and land on a rim lock - On a hard square edge be ready to bend alot of good rims....i have amazing luck at hitting these 2 together.....i cracked two rim locks this weekend (MotionPro) cast metal rubber coated ones and i was only at 12.75psi....rim was ok this time around......but ya the Tusk wheels are damn good.....once im set to rebuild i replace all the spoke with Buchanan...then any wheel becomes strong as hell....

I have run their cheapest steel clutch on my 2004 cr 250 for a year. It works but it does fade when used on the tight or really slippery stuff to modulate power.

I had a Tusk rear brake pad literally snap in half in the caliper. That's been more than five years ago so perhaps they've improved their quality since then. I'm not going to find out.

My tusk steel braided brake lines came in the mail and were just Galfer lines in a Tusk package. They even said Galfer right on them.

I bought a Primary Drive (RM brand) chain once. Luckily it didn't take out my engine case or leg when it snapped.
Needless to say, they had no problem refunding my money with only this picture.

Put some rear pads on and they wore out quicker than any other brake pad I've ever had and the brake feel was off from day one.. Bought a clutch pack (fiber and metal plates) at the same time. Clutch lost its feel too, grabby and started slipping way too early on in their life. That was about 6 years ago. You get what you pay for.

I got the handlebar raisers or uppers dunno how they call them and they are pretty good and really cheap.

I would stay away from anything that gets real hot, or there is a lot of stress on. Otherwise, the products I've had from them have been fine.

Pretty sure that RMATV owns Tusk.

I'm sure everyone who has posted positive things about the Tusk products are being honest, but I am from the school that says "you get what you pay for".

I have seen a Tusk hub grenade on a YZ450. I did not know the guy, so I can not say what happened, but one big crash could end up costing me thousands of dollars, so I stick with products that I trust my life with. I use FasterUSA for my wheel source and they have great deals for the bargain shopper. My 2 cents.....

I bought my first tusk item in 2003. Have been buying tusk ever since. Several tools, wheels, bars, clutches, levers, grips, etc... Unbeatable value in my opinion. Are there better options if you are willing to pay more? Maybe, but I think tusk is on par or above some pretty large and reputable brands.

Their tools are great. I think for the average joe most of their products are fine. I would not run their clutches or brake pads....for a few extra dollars I will run something proven. From what I see Tusk is a lot like Moose, they do not actually manufacture anything, they just put their name on other products...albeit Moose uses some of the best suppliers in the industry.

The tools are great. Especially the tools that you may use a couple times per year. The air pressure gauge is very nice. I've read good reviews from the magazines on the complete wheel sets. Stick with stock on clutch packs. The bling stuff is decent quality. Tusk is a pretty decent brand.....not great but decent.

Well I will let y'all know about the clutch after this weekend. My son toasted his clutch in his 2017 KX250f and we need a cheap clutch for the weekend. So I'll post up how it goes.

So far so good for me in 3 years of using them. The last chain I bought seemed to flat spot on the links quicker then the previous. I was about to try an oversize rotor, anyone run one? The galfer is only a bit more.

Likewise ... Tusk products from clutches to brake padshave all been amazing products and have defied the "Get what you pay for" mentality with me.

Chains and brake pads are garbage but I've had good luck with their wheels ... I also have an oversize rotor on my kawi 450 that has been great.

I'd like some more information on this. What bike are they on? How old are they? How often do you tighten them? How much do you weigh. What class do you ride? Did you crank on them?

Thanks, I was thinking of getting a set to try out. Don't want a paperweight.

on crf450 2014, purchased in april 2016, tightened after first ride and then randomly checked, less than 10 hours on the wheels ridden by 175lb canadian pro rider ( B class US?)

all previous info on the wheels indicated they were a good product, faulty batch of spokes?

I've used a lot of Tusk products over the years, mostly tools. Great bang for buck. I've been running the wheels for about two years with absolutely no issues. Take that for what it's worth. I'm a vet who play rides, so I don't ask a lot of these wheels like a more aggressive rider would.

My tusk brake lines are made by galfer, The tusk brake pads are nothing more than rebranded galfer as well! So youre buying galfer pads for a 1/3rd of the price!

Tools, Tire stand and brake rotors. So far zero issues.
