I find this really interesting. It makes me believe it's Dungey or Decoster as I seem to remember them have a huge issue with Canard this sx season. Can't imagine after all that they would offer him a job.

If not Dunge, then I'm thinking Poucel may retire.

Alessi to NHRA?

Dungey to Stripping at bachelorette parties?? (guy seems to like being naked...)

Friese to professional Roller Derby?

Decotis to Jockeying?

Zach Bell to crash testing?

Possible retirement, "change of profession", "if he's goes through with it, probably won't be announced until November".

Hmmm, no urgency on the announcement.

Going with Ryan Dungey retiring from full-time competition, yet staying on with KTM to do selected events a la RC back in '07. Dungey to transition Team Manager, Test Rider, Brand Ambassador, Consultant...whatever but will stay on with KTM in some capacity. DeCoster may or may not help with the transition, but I'm guessing he's retiring.

Idk if I can see Dungey as Team manger for KTM. Hes not a SoCal guy and he probably wants to start a family, team managers have to work and travel alot. Add to that the issue that when Dungey leaves its gonna be hard to beat Kenny, Eli, Cooper, Anderson etc. (I know Musquin and Canard are excellent riders) and they dont have anyone in the 250s thats a standout talent at this time. Whoever does take over for Roger has some BIG shoes to fill.

No... No one in this thread has talked about the rider I was referring to.

OK! Time to start the weekend! We're running out of riders. Time for some Rocky Mountain re-hydration.

if it's Nascar related as a "change in profession" then JGR has something possibly to do with it. Maybe Barcia? Also, I've read on here and heard from others that Kevin Harvick may have a little something with RCH. then there's obviously RCH and his ties. Hard to tell who's whose possibly changing and or retiring.

It has nothing to do with Barcia or JGR... You guys are all aiming at people who have contracts in place and throwing out some crazy theories! It's really a simple situation.

I'm regretting bringing it up at this point... And second off, bite me... Laughing

I guess my original point was more or less not everyone that's available will be getting rides and one has looked beyond that to the next chapter.

Hmm..... I guess my imagination was going wild.

I thought Manny's "Change of Profession" comment had a Secret Meaning.

I would imagine more teams will have a 3rd rider. With so much talent out there, and guys desperate to get a deal, why not field 3 guys. Usually one is out anyway as far as bikes go. So if you can get a decent rider for a deal, why not????

Fielding another bike, mechanic, flights, hotels... Shipping extra engines and suspension weekly/bi-weekly... Parts costs week-in and week-out. It all adds up, and budgets are budgets...

He sure could consider it.
Two broken vertebraes in one season, after all he's already been through... Scary.
I'd probably walk away while I can.
