Yet gorillas subsist very well on vegetables.

Oookay, so, you're talking about just fats and amino acids in general right? Not just animal sources I hope? Fruits and vegetables contain the optimal combination of amino acids, fats and carbohydrates for humans. I study nutrition as a hobby. If you're not convinced a plant based diet works for a moto guy, just Google scott jurek and mac danzig. Jurek is a 7 time winner of the western states 100 mile race. All done on plants only. Danzig was an mma fighter, the ultimate fighter season 6 champion, and also plant based. So there you have it, endurance and explosiveness, both achieved with fruits, veggies, legumes, and whole grains.

Right.

If being a veg is so good for you, then how come people that grow up on veg diets tend to be so tiny and weak?

I've been vegetarian now for almost a year. NEVER FELT BETTER.

Always struggled with my weight before this. Always had weird days or afternoons where I just felt like shit after a meal.

Always felt worse after a hard workout like I couldn't recover properly.

Dead animal muscles are not the best way guys. Much better protein and nutrients from plants.
If you are disagreeing you have not done any research. Pretty simple and no shame in that.

Ever seen a Got milk? Ad? Ever seen a BEEF, It's what's for dinner! Ad??

Why is there no brand name attached to those ads? Who the F pays for a national TV ad and doesn't attach their brand name? Propaganda.

That graphic is incorrect. 4 ounces of beans only has 6 grams of protein, You'd have to eat more calories (480) with beans to get the same amount of protein that is in meat.

Also, that looks like a NY Steak, which actually only have 260 calories in 4 ounces. And no beef contains steroids or hormones.

I trained with Ryno a while back. We were not scared of grass fed beef.

And no, vegetable proteins are never as complete in the amino acid profile (except for quinoa, which is quite high in calories for the protein you get) as flesh is.

A perfect moto meal is probably some meat, some beans, some quinoa, and some vegetables. And butter or olive oil. You can't be afraid of fats.

Also, did anyone notice Black Baggett's pre-race meal is bacon and eggs? It's the fat that will keep you going at the end of the moto.

Brake is one smart cookie.

i eat eggs and bacon before any big mountain bike ride and usually carry a few extra pieces of bacon on my ride with me to re-fuel. it works for me just fine and the fatigue doesn't set in on my ride.

plus it's fun to eat bacon in front of the granola pounding hippies on the trail

I looked into becoming a vegetarian, but I wasn't smug and pompous enough to be in the club.

Calcium comes from many different sources than dairy. And let me say I don't give a shit what people eat; too each their own. And I do consume dairy products myself (I don't drink milk anymore as I don't really care for it but love me some cheese, ice cream, butter).

But dairy is not necessary for human health. All mammals produce milk specifically to nurture their offspring for a certain amount of time. That's all it's intended for. To think that humans (past the age of 2 at that) need the milk of another mammal to be healthy is absurd. Again, if the market demands it, and people want it? So be it. I couldn't care less. But it is not a necessary component to human health. IMO.

There was a place in the UK that was making ice cream out of human breast milk. It seemed like the majority of people were disturbed by it. I chuckled and thought they were a bunch of hypocrites. So it's not weird to consume the milk of another mammal but it is weird to consume the milk of your own species?

As for Kenny, I hope he keeps on keeping on. That's what I love about the kid. I personally loved the jab. The sport needs more of that.
Back when my sons were born and the Warden was pumping a lot of breast milk I definitely took advantage of having a refrigerator stocked with that liquid gold. I was training and racing a lot of mtb and road cycling. My recovery times shrank considerably when I drank fresh breast milk immediately following a hard workout. I tried taking it from the tap but that was just too much work.

Not only is it incorrect
It has some serious flaws
For instance , protein from plants is of less quality, the leucine content is less
And leucine is the primary amino acid responsible for muscle protein synthesis

Further more you are missing out on some nutrients with the vegan lifestyle
Carnitine, And b12 to name a few
Also you need saturated fat in your diet, how do you think your body produces hormones without the building blocks?

I understand Kenny
Your looking for the optimal diet, and more importantly SUSTAINABLE
Keeps you healthy and mentally funtioning properly

Buy hey if you like vegan and feel better more power to you
Just 2 me the whole superfood and organic is so much better hype, I'm tired of

Just a quick reminder - kenny started the last outdoor season injured. He could barely walk at hangtown. The year before where dungey and roczen where on the same bike, roczen won. And tomac would have won the championship last year we all know that... But thats what is dungeys strength, no mistakes at a very high level and holeshot nearly every race.
Kenny has been beat more often by Dungey than not. You can make all the excuses you want, the numbers don't lie. Also, we don't know that Eli would have won the title last year since it was only a few motos, but I'll leave to someone like you to always try and discredit Dungey's accomplishments any way you can.

You say that, but if you look at all the races this year, SX and outdoor where Dungey and Roczen have actually raced each other in a straight up battle, Roczen has won a lot more than Dungey. It doesn't surprise me what he is doing in the Nationals, because he showed in SX nearly every time he got the start with Dungey that he was able to beat him.

Where other than St. Louis, where Kenny crashed, did Dungey beat Roczen in a 1 on 1 straight up battle? The SX championship was decided in the first 10 feet of each race

Every race was straight up, unless they a had 2 gate drop deal that we all missed and Kenny started on the second gate drop and Dungey started on the first gate drop.

There were four races in a row where Kenny was right there with Dungey, and Dungey came out on top with three wins (he was docked positions on one race ) Saying the title was decided in the first ten feet of the race is absurd.
