when I read this thread this comes to mind. places like this never have that good of food , are always loud. and are typically a last resort for me but that's no reason to treat the wait staff bad

I do know her personally. She goes to college full time, is hardworking fair minded and not in any way full of herself. She doesn't lie or exagerate. She is barely out of her teens takes her job very seriously and enough sheer frustration could make anyone upset. I have rarely met anyone as easy to get along with as her.

I will add my final comment that Morgan is a 4.0 student at Sac State. She is only doing what she has to do to get through college. She's a good kid.

She sounds like a nice girl. fortunately it's not really about her anymore so you're wasting your time. See, the Vital crazy train is chugging at "Locomotive breath" speed. Its too late for most of them... Jump off now to save yourselves.

I'm trying man I'm trying!Laughing Almost through my third year, one more and I'll hopefully have my engineering degree. Hasn't been easy juggling it all but I think I've experienced a lot more than most of the other students in my class, I'd be miserable without moto and bmx!

It's not easy to stay up with moto through college. Just reminds me of my SJS days. As a graduation present, I bought myself a '91 KX125...new! Yeah, I'm old. Smile

I had 3 pints of beer with lunch and subsequently sent the following to Pro Circuit e-mail address:

There is a post on Vital MX from a disgruntled employee who claims to have served your team after Hangtown. You must have been there because Joey S has been commenting on the server’s FaceBook page about it (and coming across as a whiny, entitled goof).

From her side of the story you guys behaved like assholes and tipped $8 on $592…dude, c’mon. Tell Mitch to smarten up and give her $100 and some t-shirts…I expect better from the most professional team in the pits.

The reply was as follows:

Thanks for that heads up. Yes Mitch has contacted the server and Joey. This has been worked out. Some of these people with that group was not team members.

Personally, I can't believe anyone would misbehave in such a classy joint.
+1

some genius in our group thought we should start each SX season off with pre-race wings & beer at Hooters before A1...we went once, that was in 2010.

I worked in the service industry in Vegas for years --- I can tell you some of the biggest assholes are athletes. Some that come to mind are C Barkley and M Lynch or the Seattle Seahawks.

Some of the best - people who work in oil, Cowboys and bankers. Not surprised if this happened. That said, it true, I hope PC makes it right. People are human and fuck up.

Well, good on PC. The power of the internet is amazing. A lot of shit got trimmed from this thread, but I have seen this forum get results time and time again on matters like this. Glad they made it right, but too bad Versace stooped to petty comments when the party was obviously in the wrong.

A 10 page post censored down to 4. Wow. That's pathetic! Move it to the dungeon if someone got offended.

Why even bother?

I removed most of the posts from guys bagging on each other's opinions. That trimmed it from ten to four. So yeah, you're right...pathetic.

Bagging on, debating, sharing opinions it's all subjective and I guess you are the arbiter; this thread was great for profiling purposes though. I've seen WAY worse go on for way longer. This was just a simple debate about common sense, morals and manners I thought. Quite a haircut boss. Carry on we got some racing to get ready for.

That's awesome! My grandpa actually graduated from there, maybe you knew him?Tongue Nah I'm just kidding, that's awesome that you did that, it's definately not easy to keep up on everything but I'm managing. For me personally, I can't stand to waist the best years of my life just doing school work and drinking the weekend away, I feel like I need to take full advantage of the opportunity to ride and race while I'm still young.

And yes, a new bike is for sure on the list when I graduate. Thinking maybe a TM just because I've always been fascinated by them, I love my YZ so I'll definately keep that, but having a more exotic bike to play on can't hurt.

BTW I'm blaming the 30 second board girls for my crap starts all of last Friday, they can make it up to me with some digits thoughCool Laughing

"Their tab was 592$ and they left me 600$, so I ended up having to pay 8% of their tab in taxes even though they didn't tip me."

I'm still confused by this?

It probably varies by state, but since most people who work for tips don't claim those tips on income taxes (or vastly under report them on income taxes)- many states put a "mandatory" minimum tax on those employees estimating they "probably" earn at least 8% (or whatever the state decides) tip on average per ticket. Not sure if that is a State thing or an IRS thing, but they want their money.

its california and tax...i would deduct that they automatically assume server got some kind of average tip and automatically assume tax is owed. Probably be a revolt around these parts if gov tried to pull it here. I'm sure attempts to change it to something similar is in the works.

I was there that night as we stayed next to the place, they weren't the only team that was there that night. the waitresses around the bar there had the shits and it took a while to get a drink or even the right one at times. we saw that the PC guys were enjoying themselves down the back, but didn't think it was over the top. they got a cheer as they left from a suzuki team.

It is a federal IRS regulation through out the country. The IRS assumed tipped employees under report and rather than try to audit or force case by case payment they issued a blanket 8% tax on all gross sales receipts of tipped employees. Kind of works for both sides. Servers dont have to keep track of their tips and IRS gets somewhat reasonable compliance. Technically tipped servers are required to pay taxes on any excess they get over the 8% but of course it does not work the other way around. The employee has to pay 8% of receipts even if they receive 0.

Correction not taxed 8% but 8% is considered taxable income.

Kind of shitty if true but who knows. If it was true and they couldnt leave a tip thats messed up. Savatgy probably made 100k in bonus money from vegas sx and hangtown. So 100k in 3 weeks amd cant leave a tip, thatd be pretty lame if it was true.
