Serious Question - Tomac contract

I will admit that the question is pretty blunt, and maybe Im over exaggerating or jumping the gun a little early in my assumption that he wont return anywhere near the results he had last year.

I still find it ironic that only people blast me for being an idiot, yet only one person even attempted to respond to my actual question.

People throw fits all the time, look at Reed opting out of his contract with Kawi due to "Epstein Barr", look at Stewart backing out of JGR due to lack of confidence in the bike. Is it mental, there's a good chance, but both riders did return more successful on other bikes after opting not to race their Kawasaki and Yamaha.

It don't look like many of you pro have noticed but back with V2 the Kaw has been out of the market with the handling department. Ryan's Kaw kicked him right out of the sport.

He rode a great race. He didn't get the start or the track to separate himself like he did last year. Everyone was on the gas, only a few riders in history could do what he did last year on one of the gnarliest tracks ever. All I have to add is The 3 best racers in my gnereation (MC, RC, RV) stayed on one bike for multiple years and always prevailed after a switch. The bike isnt the issue and this post would not exist if he started in the top 5.

I just went and watched 2015 hangtown 450 moto 1 and 2. Tomac was running 2:05s . Dungey was running 2:14s as was the rest of the top 5. Clearly after a year they realised how tomac was riding so fast. Last weekends 450 moto 1 and 2 the front runners were all running 2:05s or better.. including tomac. His speed never changed.. the rest of the pack just got quicker.

last year was a different track and weather conditions. pointless to compare times between the two years.

he got 3rd overall and said he wasn't comfortable at all. just wait till he feels it...
people forget that he was searching for a good setup on that honda for more than a year as well.

No need to panic. Tomac rode well. Smart. He took the measure of the bike outdoor, he is getting confortable. Last year he showcased how fast he could go, all out and on a bike he knew well. Just give some time he will be right there !

Honda offered him more to stay, check your facts, money isnt the reason for the switch, he wasnt the #1 rider at Honda, that was the biggest issue for him

The only surprise about ET3 is the Chupacabra catching and passing him in moto1. However, maybe some credit should be given to BB for showing the form many thought he had during his PC championship days.

First off, he won't be getting out of his contract.

Second, he definitely does not yet look comfortable on the Kawi but with the money he is making he will take his time to adjust.

Same thing will happen to Roczen next year when he switches. Rider gets super set up and comfortable and switches but they get paid the big money.
