I stand corrected. It wasn't Reeds fault. I apologize for starting that "F****** Reed" alcohol induced thread last night.

with that said, I rewatched the race several times and Reed had James covered especially in the turns. I don't know if it's the EFI or what, but he was cutting underneath James in every corner and still accelerating faster out of the corner. James looked very uncomfortable and looked to be riding on the ragged edge trying to keep up with Chad. Either that Suzuki is a far superior machine or James is having major issues with that Yamaha. I quess we will find out next week

Think you nailed it with your correction. Stewart needs to figure out his bike - fast.

Reed commented in the video w/ RC about the cornering on the Zook.

it showed tonight.

Should make for a great season. I do think James got his bell rung and that's not good. Concussions are dangerous and he's had his share already. Hope he's ok.

Based on what we saw tonight, it will be a great season if they don't take each other out. Plus, expect RV to be in the mix.

Don't make excuses and especially not the bike, not after all the "Reed's going to get smoked by his old bike" and "and what's he going to do now he can't use the carb as an excuse" shit.

This dude hasn't manned up but already provided James with excuses, the exact same ones he was bagging Reed for. Unbelievable.

Definitely agreed, that was the first thing I noticed when I sat down in my seat. Reed was killing those corners effortlessly

zuk def turns better lucky for james though he has the fastest corner speeds out there so theyll get it dialed in until then it will be great racing. i was like wholly chit reeds pulling stewy!!! good job to grant great debut! i thought rv would do better but looks liek hes in cruise control just getting familiar to the 450 but he could be an RC and once the 3rd race rolls around its on! GREAT racing this year in BOTH classes...

James was rolling the outside of the bowl turns which was alot slower, chad had better angles coming in and was cutting those bowl turns in half slicing underneath James. Chad is riding that 450 like a 250 2 stroke.

yep...RV rode smart and steady. Hopefully he will continue to be patient and let it come to him.

I didn't know if he would be ready to race at the front of the 450 class, but after last night, I think he is.

Villopoto had a few moments that cost him a shot at the win last night but the kids a fast learner and was a fast as Chad and James. The kids already a title contender right out of the gate.

Definitely, I noticed that, too. I'm not a Reed fan, but he was cutting and slashing like he was on a two stroke. He definitely had Bubba's number in the corners. And didn't we see something stupid coming from Bubba? I like the guy, but you could tell he was riding the ragged edge.

Bobby.... that is racing. James had two runs through that whoop section that were faster than Reed. The first time he rode the front end past two whoops and almost went over the berm. The second time Reed had a bad run. Either way, it was fun to watch and I for one hope it continues.

Did they say anything about the extent of any injuries to Stewart? He looked out of it when he was trying to get going immediately after the crash. Any word on a concussion?

It was like he was out sitting up and then the light came on slowly and all he saw was Reed picking his bike up and getting going and then instinct got him going again. Hope not though.

I have done that exact thing before and crashed again in my youth when I should have just stayed there. Almost did it again at Hardrock, won three moto's and was leading last one and was lapping a friend and decided to scrub whip down gravity cavity and slid on a boulder and it spun me around and I hit hard. My Mechanic Greg Dionne jumped fence and asked me if I was alright and I said yes but he would not let me go. I did ride my bike back to pits and was bummed and I leaned against bike and my arm fell out of socket and turned out I had broken my socket corners off and my breast plates coracoid process that holds arm in. Could have been bad if I had kept going and possible concussion to boot.

If you have seen a few of these, you will notice Reed's corner speed and technique are different this year. He looks like he's got that bike dialed. James not so much, not flowing like James, a lot of little mistakes/corrections. The big one looked like the front end pushed , causing a little hesitation, game over.

Get a designated typist next time you drink and surf the net dikhead.

..and I told you last month that Chad looked like he was on his old 250 smoker on the new zook. Bubbles is rattled...I see a docs cert for bumped head coming up.
