Dungey fans get mad when the champ (RV) doesn't get penalized and mad when the champ (Dungey) does.

well that sounds quite logical doesn't it? One champ (monster) eludes penalties, and one champ (red bull) gets penalized with a +9 second lead...

Ryan's dad told me it was Yamaha, whether that means Factory Yamaha or JGR I'm not sure I probably should have dug deeper but it was pretty cold outside in Detroit haha

Yamaha protesting hoping for a DQ to put Reed on the podium...seems logical.

Although I don't know, but I don't think someone has to "protest" in this situation. I'm sure there were a number of AMA officials looking in the area because of the Red cross flag and he simply was observed. Then again, what do I know.

You sir are excused ...

It wasn't a synonym, maybe an antonym... Been a long time since highschool English!

But I would say that generally I could understand from the quote that another team protested other than Husky... And not the AMA... That is all. Wink Cool

If it was RCH who protested Dungey, it would be hilarious if Anderson beats Roczen in the points by 2.

Whatever.

I'm leading.

Talk about reading comprehension, how about writing comprehension. "But I would say that generally I could understand". WTF are you writing about? Have you ever done a book report?

Your turn.

Rules are rules, however in this case it appears the flagger made just as big of if not more than an error with his method of waving the flag and position to alert the riders than Dungey did by not seeing it and/or not honoring the flag.

In my opinion there's no way Dungey ignores that flag if he saw it.

After the AMA had a look at it you would think that they could have seen the issues and maybe made a warning kind of deal out of it. Yamaha or whomever protested, must have stuck to their guns with the protest, and they are fighting for a championship.

More than likely though it will just make things worse for them in the end as the gain went to riders that are more probable for them to catch in the series points at the end of the year.

Things happen fast up close, mistakes will always happen, but there is obvious room for improvement in the flagger department.

Bring on more trackside warning lights to help prevent situations like this in the future and for the overall safety of the riders and track workers.

It would be interesting to have been there and know how it all went down and who was saying what though.

My guess it was the riders team that is second in points. The funny thing is it made Anderson five points closer to his rider. It would be funny if Anderson finished 4 points infront of Roczen at the end of the season.

bottom line: the only guy that beat dungey was dungey himself.
any team should be interested in giving dungey a somewhat hard time, he has the fitness and the skills, so take away some momentum.
(obviously it should all be within the rules)

How did Dungey beat himself?
by jumping through a Red Cross flagged section whilst leading?

Seems an MCR rider got away with it or who's actions at the very least could be the basis of a protest for Dungey.

What difference does it make who protested? There still would've had to have been an investigation over it by race direction. They obviously investigated it and agreed that Dungey had jumped on a Red Cross flag. So whoever it was that protested didn't just make it up. The AMA and the FIM didn't just take their word for it that Dungey jumped on a Red Cross flag. He jumped, he got penalised, that's the way it goes

I did. I had 21,25,1,41,3 for my fantasy. With the successful protested I was able to get 4 out 5 right in my picks.

I don't know how to embed Instagram posts but take a look at this(you can find it on Reeds insta) https://www.instagram.com/p/BDN2XObGpAb/

Anderson also jumped in he heat race and a Motoconcepts rider jumped in the main. Pretty much proving that the AMA and FIM has no clue about anything when it comes to the rules and applying them in a good way.

Yes, poor little Red Bull. Always getting bullied by the big sponsors. Smile
