The guy won an overall at a full blown professional Arenacross race like a month ago. Hardly surprising that he was impressive at an Amateur event

How about we let him get a few motos under his belt before we label him a Herlings or RC

Was at the Monster Energy Cup last year. sitting right in front of where they came in from the parking lot. First couple laps of the race Forkner and the first four places, launched way farther into the sand rollers than any of the pros. Was a beautiful thing to see.

He will be good if he can avoid injuries that sideline him for long periods of time. Many careers have been derailed by early injuries. He definitely looks legit though. Can't wait to see him in outdoors this year.

Easy now. Same thing was said about AC92 before turning pro. Gotta win something on the big stage first.

Based on the posts above, this kid is an absolute flop. Guess we will have to wait for Deegan's kid.

He seems level headed but a semi and money can change everything.
it seems that being an amateur prodigy has the odds stacked against ya these days.

I remember him coming to Bulgaria in 2012 to race the 85 world championship and he finished 2nd to Brian Hsu:

Brian Hsu 3/1
Austin Forkner 1/3
Davy Pootjes 2/5
Ivan Petrov 9/2
Thomas Ragadini 6/4

If you look at the best lap times during the race, you got:

Race 1

Jake Pinhancos 2:02:263
Austin Forkner 2:03:303
Davy Pootjes 2:03:328
Brian Hsu 2:04:653
Conrad Mewse 2:05:667

Race 2

Brian Hsu 2:06:597
Austin Forkner 2:06:795
Jake Pinhancos 2:06:964
Ivan Petrov 2:07:273
Paolo Ricciutelli 2:07:365

That's nice, but I'm not sure that results from 4 years ago when he was likely 12, in a different country, and on a mini bike exactly validates much.

Epic Fail, unless intended as sarcasm, in which case, carry on.

My point was: of course he's not the "US Herlings", because otherwise he would have won by a larg margin against Hsu and Pootjes.

what about the guys that have been beating him . i looked at two races he was in ,this month and finished 2nd twice .
3/19/2016 1:54pm
He isn't the messiah, he's obviously gonna get a few bad starts here and there. Usually in a open Pro sport where he is on a 250 against 450s but he always comes from behind and wins or gets second.
