I talked to Vince last week about that Semi in San Diego, where he and the Hahn brothers were going at it. He and Tommy had a chat after that race, and Vince told me the first thing he said to Tommy was that he was sorry that he'd cross-jumped him. (He said he caught a rut the wrong way.) He said he also didn't have a problem with the way that Tommy raced him...including running him off the track.

What I don't like is the way he rides with others. Especially some of the shit he pulled when he was up here, the take out attempts on Benoit, the shit talking off camera and acting innocent on camera.
Good rider, needs an attitude adjustment if you ask me.
EDIT I was cheering Friese on at A1 and while not pleased even gave him a pass on the contact with WP in the heat race. The semi take out move however put me back in the camp I am now. There was no need for Friese to reignite past problems and I don't buy the "oh that's just the way he grew up racing" line either that someone offered. He's a pro now and should race like one
Vince has proven himself by being at the front of many of this year's races even last year.
It's his reputation that people can't get over for crying out loud it's Supercross there's hardly any room to pass and he's racing the fastest Supercross riders in the world major props to him!
I also agree with the fact that this is SX and passing isn't easy, but how many riders did Movin Marv put on the ground this weekend? By your logic, there should have been 3 or 4 guys picking themselves up after Marv went by. Vince is a good rider, but he needs to get a better understanding of when a rider is out of reach. If he had a little more patience or got out the the rhythms a little faster, he wouldn't have to come across the whole corner to pass someone, and that's when people get knocked down and Vince takes shots to the coconut. Honestly, I think thats all he needs, better judgement on whether a pass is available or not and to stop with the cross jumping, this weekend wasn't the only case. If you get caught in a rut like he says, there's not much you can do. But when you move over on a rider to block their line in the air, thats when I have a problem. Same as I wasn't a fan of CC moving over on Versace in the whoops. I like CC, but even as a fan I saw that as a dumb move
