You're witnessing the second coming of Damon Bradshaw and some of you PC-Police are ruining it for yourselves. Perhaps you prefer the system-produced automatons who scramble and generate a phrase from the phrasebank their PR manager gave them...but, ya know, that's the point, go just keep, uh, moving forward....
Exactly. Not to mention half the "police" in this thread will worship him if he becomes as strong as it looks like he will be. Just like RC....so many fans boo'd him and then jumped on the bandwagon.

Also, isn't it nice to have some attitude in the sport instead of the cookie cutter interviews without personality or color?

He shanked a rider with his mechanics tire iron because the three digit good roosted him and made him use his last tear off. Wink

I knew it had to be something...he probably sharpened one of those tuning forks and wrapped the handle with duct tape...I say ban him from the sport indefinitely.

I think it was Osborne he flipped off for messing up his hot lap in practice. Some people are offended.

Uh.....I'm not a professional rider representing my sponsors, who apparently this sport needs more of, if I read this forum correctly.

Childish.

Let's not forget that he thinks that the higher power from the bible is helping him to be as fast as he is. Let's not forget that. We should not forget that.

We also should not forget that Christians, just like non-Christians are humans and not perfect. Believe it or not, Webb never claimed to be perfect. Smile

I think most of the people in this thread care about more than his sponsors do. As long as Webb is finishing in the top and staying relevant, can't see his sponsors getting upset over something as silly as flipping someone off on some web show.

You're probably upset he had a cig in his mouth on the starting gate to, yeah?

That probably wouldn't if people start calling then up and saying they won't buy their shit because their rider is setting a bad example for little Johnny.

Why do you think I'm upset? Because I just pointed something out?

Critical thinking apparently is more difficult than many people believe.

Hell, I expect people to act like crap, the bar for personal behavior is pretty low these days. I see quite a difference between being "PC" and acting like an a-hole. "Not being PC" is the current excuse for acting like a child.

Webb is absolutely correct. How do you explain what has happened during the last 15 years? That was the reason for the tsunamis in Japan, multiple plane crashes, thousands of starving children, hurricanes, droughts,... God was busy working with Webb to make him faster. Makes you wonder why God allowed him to cut in front of Bowers and get T-boned (resulting in weeping and gnashing of teeth on the podium), or for Marvin to "cross jump" on him (again resulting weeping and gnashing of teeth on the podium), and, most recently, allow somebody to slow him down in qualifying. Is his faith slipping?

If this was another rider doing same thing it'd be crickets but people think Webb is Hitler apparently. What a joke

I love his attitude personally. I think it's great for the sport and I think people that get so offended by small shit he does blow it way out of proportion and need to get over themselves. Stop being Cooper Webb haters.

I get it, he's fast and people will blindly worship guys because they ride a motorcycle well, but this kid is such a prick.
Wow, have you ever met this "kid?" He is far from a prick. He is super competitive but so far from being a prick... Actually one of the nicest most HUMBLE kids I have actually MET!

I love the jerks picking on him for thanking God. Many of the top riders thank God and Jesus on the podium. Real cheap shot. I bet the haters are perfect and have never did anything wrong...

Only been one perfect man to walk this earth, Jesus. ALL the rest are flawed...

Get used to hating on him because he is going to be around for along time....

Yesterday a kid flipped me in traffic. No idea why. I was waiting in front of a red light, ready to turn left. Then on my left another car stopped (it was a dual carriage way going left) and i thought i heard something so i looked left. They kid looked me straight in the eye and flipped me the finger. No idea why. I was allready stationary for almost 30 seconds so it was not possible i got in his way. Guess he did not like my face. Good... i didn't like his either Laughing .
So i opened my left window and acted like i wanted to ask him something. He opened his right window which gave me the chance to empty my fire extinguisher into his car. Then the light turned green and i just drove off. I don't think he was able to since i don't think he saw anything after that. In Belgium we are obligated to have a fire extinguisher in the car. No idea why. I think we are allowed to use them in case someone flips us the finger Laughing .
I know... not very mature of me. Well... he wasn't very mature either so i don't see the problem.

That said, i must admit that i am pleased with the way Webb rode in his main event. When Craig tried to block him he kept his cool and finally took over the lead with a proper move. Nothing dirty about it. No need to flip the finger or anything else. Very mature. The sign of a true champion. What a difference compared to his attitude in that qualifying event.
