How long will it take for the snifflers to start singing the blues about a boring series?
How long before they start telling us that something has got to be changed, so that it can appear to be a close title chase?
I would probably be safe holding my breath while I wait.

Its all about starts right now. There are 5-6 legitimate guys that can win. You need to start in the top 5 to have a chance. Gone are the days where Stewart could start 15-20th and still win the race. At least until the field starts thinning out near the end of the season.

His starts are too consistently good. Reed stayed on his ass all night but couldn't close enough to threaten a pass. If you remove Dungey from the equation, it's a crap toss as to who will be second. Tomac, Roczen, Reed, Anderson and Canard all have the ability, but none of them have shown consistency in the last year. It would be cool if Anderson took another win to back up his A1 result.

It's hard to bet against RD for sure. But dang guys....there are quite a few guys out there , that when things start to " Click "....they could go on a roll. ET , Roczen , Reed , Canard , Seely , Anderson and James! Remember Anderson already won the first round.

For some reason I see Canard and ET coming alive a little more this weekend. Just a feeling.

I agree. There will probably lots of winners, but each time dungey will probably be 2nd or 3rd each race. Add up to a few wins and he wins another championship. He knows how to do it. His most consistent threat IMO is is Tomac when he is back up to speed and shape

Don't have a prediction myself, but unless he crashes at any event, he will probably not finish off the podium very often if prior results prove anything. So, it will be a matter of time before he wraps things up considering those other top guys will swap podiums from event-to event which may be what the OP is alluding to.

Likely. My guess is he finishes on the podium. He’s the guy right now. Just like with McGrath, Carmichael, Stewart (a few years ago) and Villopoto, he’s the one to beat and more often than not will be at the front of the pack while most others shuffle around 2nd – 8th place finishes. That’s the way to win championships right now and Dungey does it well.

Cracks me up w Diesel nickname, set fastest heat race, fastest lap of race, won race. He's the fastest out there, gimme a break w consistency, yea that's good but damn gtf outta the way. Used to b too cautious when moving up...BTW, did u see him take STEWART out, accident imho but he's on a mission now

I was going to chime in and state my opinion that someone else may be due a win tomorrow but you know what?
I don't think it really matters! He'll be (or should be if I was a betting man) consistently on the podium in one way shape or form the next 15 rounds. The point lead should (could) just keep on building...no matter who wins.

I believe only dungey, roczen, anderson can come through deep in the pack. The others have to get a good start to win. The real racing is in 4-10th.....Its an absolute battle back there.

im not gonna stand on my soap box and say oh dunge wont win at all he stands a good chance, but you have anderson who has confidence going in because he won there last time, you have Tomac who is getting better everyweek. As sad as i am to say it maybe Reed, and if Canard can stay off the ground he has been really fast.

He may or may not win. It's just as silly to say that he will win as it is to say he won't since he certainly is one of the top riders who can win. Same thing could be said about Roczen, Tomac, and a couple of others. But I don't like it when someone comes out and says he WILL win because if he doesn't there is going to be a backlash. I know there are plenty of people on this board that don't want to see Dungey win.

A Dungey win is certainly possible.....However as many stated above, you have some other dudes who are plenty capable and I don't think it will become "boring"... Dungey is the defending champ and looks pretty darn good...you do have some guys who are still shaking the cobwebs off and taking a more tentative approach....ala Dungey of old...

San Diego, in my opinion the race was over after 2nd lap for the most part...Reed was there, but Dunge had him covered. Roczen I think had a chance at catching RD5,,,he had Reed in his sights and then screwed the pooch..the rest of the dudes (ET, Seely, Anderson) lost 5-6 seconds on the leaders in the few laps getting stuck behind the Friese and Brayton debacle.....but watching the lap charts, the gap pretty much stayed the same....seely and co were actually closing the gap for a few laps..but that track as most the riders said was bunk.... short laptimes...not much passing etc.....

i want to see those top 6 guys start up front and do some battle.....
