Glad we have the couch doctors here to set everyone straight.
Not a couch doc by any means... But... If he was cleared to race then clearly he passed the standards... After that its up to him and how he feels to move forward. Period... Thats common sense and people are released from hospitals everyday because they pass the Dr's tests and the doctor leaves it up to them if they continue the activity or not, but they are medically released because they passed the tests/standards.

I mean... think about it... haha they have the rules in play for a reason. If you cant pass the test you don't race. If you do... its up to you. I don't know how else to explain that everyone is different and everyone has a choice... ha

It doesn't take a doctor to figure that shit out.

Good cast Bobby my friend, get some stinky bait on that hook!Wink Tongue Laughing

Best wishes to James for a quick recovery and kudos for realising it's not safe for you or your competitors to push on through a bad concussion!
James is basically out of the championship title race now, but should come back to dominate a couple of rounds later on.

RacerX tweeted that he's out for the night after not feeling well after the first timed practice. Probably a good idea for him.
Not feeling well doesn't mean it's a concussion problem. He stretched his neck, slammed his shoulder and ribs also.

The older you get, every crash even just jacks your mind up some

When was the last time stew had a legitimate season? He is easily one of the fastest guys to ever race but I can't recall when he put together an entire season.

It's sad but he's done and has been for a longtime. Should just call it a career.

And yes 7 days for a concussion is not very long, specially not when it's not your first. AMA shoud look at NFL and NHL for example

I agree. If he calmed down and rode smart he could get a top 10. His days of winning has past.

He looked podium/possible win good to me before the racing incident. While I do feel like the crash hindered what we could've seen from Stew this year I don't think he should be completely written off just yet.

Jesus dude you are relentless. There have been many pro athletes that are given the ok by the docs to attempt to perform again but find that they have issues when they actually go out and exert themselves at a high level. Post concussion syndrome comes in many forms, it can go away in days, weeks or never.

Dude was 2.5 seconds a lap slower than Dungey. We all know why he pulled out.

He was cleared. If your racing for a championship, once and a while you have to race through some adversity. That is not in Bubbas play book.
