I'll save you some time right now, he's not racing this weekend, won't be back for 2-3 weeks.

I never understood how people on a message board knew when to clear a rider? Can you guys please explain? What are your super powers?

Just think, if the series adopted a throw away race, there would be even more excitement going into next round.

Fans will be happy but I hope he really thinks it through. Not worth pushing it with a head injury. Could take him out for good. Hopefully his dad will talk some sense into him. Although we are all speculating as to his actual condition after A1. Good luck, but be safe!

Why there's anything else posted in this thread than: great news, is beyond me.

Because everyone is a brain surgeon nowadays.

Well that's because some people here are concerned for his long term health and don't want to see something really bad happen.

Semi-interesting story, I have been dating my girlfriend for five years so she wasn't following anything moto related while Stewart was dominating. She had no clue how dominant he used to be and thinks I'm crazy for thinking he will be able to win anything.

Travis Pastrana basically ended his career trying to pull this.

Second-impact trauma is extremely dangerous.
He left racing to do way more dangerous riding. He didn't leave for safety reasons.

Well according to the posters he has a solid chance of winning the title still oh and don't forget he has a normal amount of risk for injury even though he had a concussion a week prior.

He's still "in this" apparently

Didn't he win the championship one year when he crashed out of A1 and was in a worst position?

Let's be honest, Stew wasn't going to win the championship. In my opinion, it's best if he sits out one more week and comes back when he is good n' ready. That is, if this thread holds as much water as everyone thinks it does. I think watching him with nothing on the line is more enjoyable than watching him and hoping he holds it together to get points for the championship. Then again, it's not my career, money or life so what do I know.

Yeah, but he didn't have this level of competition. Check out all the riders who qualified last weekend. I bet every one of them except 3 or 4 have won either a Supercross or motocross championship (250 and/or 450 included) then go back and look at the competition in 2009.

Those posters are frozen in 2009, at this point, he could sneeze and get a concussion, no different than Pastrana.

He should sit out as long as he needs to to let his head heal. Im a huge Stewart fan but even I recognize that he wasnt going to be a major threat for the title.

I think this point in his career he should be focusing on getting wins when he can, but being ok with taking a top 10 if the night isnt going so well.

Also he needs to drop about 30lbs, something about the weight gain tells me that his mind isnt in the game as much as it used to be.

Having a "stacked" field could very well work in his favor. There are just that many more guys that can finish ahead of whoever you're trying to catch in the points. Obviously he's not in a great position BUT he's definitely not out. Look where Barcia, and Pourcel finished. They can easily finish between Stew and the point leader. Whoever that may be at the time. And to think even with this field that JS7 can't reel off 2-3 race win streak is underestimating James I believe. Lets see how this points thing is at the end of Feb. Then we can start writing people off.

It's easier to come back to title fight in 2016 than it was in 2009. Of course it's harder to win, but if get some wins, you dont have your main rival in second place every time you win.

Stew was.getting ready to make a move on Anderson when he was hit. Not saying he was gonna do it but he needs to get out front and away from the chaos. Then get a good 20 laps in and if he drops 3 or 4 spots during the race, it's ok. He just needs to complete a race. It will help him mentally so much. Go Stew because it's much better when he's in the race.
I'm not talking about his medical issues and don't to get into it but health comes first and him and docs will make the call.
