Just curious more than anything, are there any internal upgrades that suspension tuners are using to further improve the SSS forks aside from RT gold valves? If so, what are these particular parts doing better than the stock KYB part that it's replacing?

Enzo can coat the forks. It made mine much plusher. They did my 13 KX450 and I am getting them to do my 16 YZ450.

changing to Golden Spectro suspension fluids will make a difference by reducing stiction.

Taco mid valve mod, revalve, special formulated oil. Amazing combo
Highly advise doing a search on TT about Dave and his superwonderfulamazeballs work.. More threads on avoiding at all costs than anything else.. To the point he quit posting on there after being called to carpet for his outlandish claims.

It's pretty well established that Dave isn't much of a businessman, but his suspension mods work well.

According to some on here you should pay someone to throw away the springs, install a shrader valve 70s and 80s style and pump them up.

Im an A rider so I'm well aware of revalves, different springs, and coatings haha I've got a set of sss forks done by enzo with DLC coatings and Kashima coated fork tubes mated with their KYB kit shock with the 2 piece shock body. They work fantastic as you'd expect. just haven't heard of too many internal modifications that outperform the KYB internals as opposed to WP for example with mxtech adding their huckvalves to help them out tremendously.

Any fork from manufactures can be improved if you are prepared to spend the dollars....no way are they ever going to be the best you can get.

Besides gold valves and springs, the only way you get the SSS forks better is to buy the Enzo kit stuff.

Other than that, you don't get better forks on any stock bike out at the moment.

Man I just had the forks on my 05 refreshed and they are the most plush and forgiving forks I've ever had! I can't imagine what the SSS forks are like!

Do some reading and plug in some of your personal data at

racetech.com to get an idea of what they can do. Then, have them locate a local RT tech guy for you.

Put in a JBI perch. Best mod ever. Lower your oil by 80cc's and still never bottom! small bump ride is incredible ...

I have been looking around for them, but does anyone know where i can find SSS forks with the DLC and kashima coatings? Hopefully a good condition used set.

I know where you can find a barely used set of forks. What bike do you ride?

The sss forks on my yz 450 are the only forks that come to mind that I did not feel the need to send off immediately......They are better stock and set up than the revalved stuff on my honda...... now I'm trying to forget about how much better they might be set up for me??????? Yamaha stuff works really pretty good out of the crate, if you take the time to set things straight.

Thanks! It took me all winter to flip enough bikes last year to afford everything but well worth it in the end.
