Tennis match was on yesterday while I was playing on the internet.

I heard the announcer say after a player made a poor shot into the net, "he doesn't beat himself often".

I don't think even producers realize sometimes how important announcers are to the show to add color.

Larry Huffman was a gem, our lads in Canada are good, and I'm liking Weege and Langston.

The sport is so hardcore and serious, a little humour goes a long way.

David pingree was hilarious when the nats were broadcast on OLN.

"There is Kevin Windham in his moose hunting gear". (It was bright orange no fear)

This is concerning tire choice in Road Racing.

This quote of his was heard round the world when he was commentating for the World Superbike Series.

JACK Burnicle was talking about Colin Edwards’ tyre choice on World Superbike racing:

“Colin had a hard on in practice earlier, and I bet he wished he had a hard on now.”

Burnicle is brilliant

"Jimmy Button - with the longest neck ever seen on a human being"

(Regarding Paris SX presentation) "The American riders were all driven into the stadium in a huge stretched limo - which passed off without incident apart from a slight breakage of wind by Robbie Reynard"

Non-Moro related, but one of the funniest things I've ever herd on national TV.

Back in the day when Annica Sörenstam was the best golfer in the world Swedish public service TV used to broadcast the LPGA events (late at night in Sweden).

Thy were following Natalie Gulbis (at least at the time a young and pretty babe with pink skirts and what not). Her knee was taped and the announcer said: that's from a jogging injury!

Then they cut to another ball where Pat Hurst is on camera (for those who don't know women golf too much Pat Hurst seemed to enjoy to eat. A lot). Then the co-announcer says: well, you don't see any jogging injuries on her!

I friggin' fell off the couch

emig: "theyre banging you hard in the corner"
also, Art Eckman would mispronounce peoples names and he would do it, then correct himself, then do it again

Art: "He is getting the blue flag tell everyone what that means Larry"
Larry: "That means there is a race going on and you are not in it"

"He is all over him like a Krishna on an airport traveler" -Larry Huffman

"He is tougher than a two dollar steak" Larry Huffman

He's got a lot of em. But these are my fav's.

These are all the good ones I remember from the 80's broadcasts... in fact these may all be from the same one if I remember right... 1988 timeframe????

Good stuff!!!!

"Get out the vaseline, I'm coming though!" Art Eckman

Eckman also once called Pedro Gonzalez....Pedro Rodriquez.

Also was funny anytime an announcer referred to John Michael Bayle, especially while interviewing him. Doh!
