Buddy, at 26 you have no idea what's to come.
4/26/2015 3:26pm
My sister's boyfriend had a good house payed off by about 26 w/ roommates. She broke up with him.

I didn't know quite how big an acre was, turns out it's almost football-field size. And he's supposed to push-mow it? Some people value their time.

Shave that stupid beard off and throw away those dumb horn rim frames without glass in them. Do a days work and deal with it. You've got two eyes, two ears and one mouth. Keep doing what you're doing.I bought my house at 26 too. Better than renting! But you don't need crazy expensive shit. It's all junk. Mow with maintained junk. And ride fresh dirtbikes. Smile

You are not old. You could have bought a used tractor mower and a bike.

You can buy lightly used for about 50+% off new prices. To satisfy two stroke fanatics and push mower badasses he really should buy an old...

Then start a thread " I spoke with my wallet" then we can go ten pages bickering about the pros and cons of two stroke push mowers vs the new pussy over priced sit down four stroke mowers...

Alright, can't say I'm too old..... I'm 26. BUT, I'm a newly wed, new home owner, and I found myself with over an acre of lawn and no way to cut it. Well, I would love to have new bikes..... but duty calls and I had to drop new bike money on this hog today. It really blows growing up and buying lawn mowers instead of new dirt bikes......

Bought mine last week. I feel your pain. I def would of bough a new bike instead if i could.

Omg like you are sold old and mature and stuff like a lawn mower who ever?
Are we supposed to feel bad , laugh or identify with you? Whos keeping you there? Go out buy a bike live on your own in your moms basement. You want to be married and have a kid or not? Then stop your bitching. You want to stay in shape go push a mower around instead of going all Hank Hill and buying the trickest mower out there for an acre .It will cut down on your gym time. Dont try to fit in with the adults yet. You have a way to go. I havent seen a single child from this generation even come close to thinking like an adult until they are 25. They think they are all growed up. But they arent. You are only a year in. If you are crying now im afraid of what the next 20 years is going to bring. It.

Wow you guys are brutal.

Sweet mower, I'm jealous! I too have a large yard to cut, I've been using a bottom of the line Honda push mower, non self-propelled. It's a good workout but too time consuming for me. I work 70 hours a week and when work is over the last thing I want to do is waste 2 hours doing laps with that mother effer. 2 weeks ago I hired a guy, $40 a week to cut grass and weed wack, means more time for me to moto. It's money well spent, my time off is valuable to me.

Why the hate in this thread? Some of you guys sure sound bitter.

Ouch buddy..... I work sun up to sun down directional drilling, getting dirty, and putting in gas main every day. I promise you I'd work you under the table. So get off your high horse, quit lumping all mellienials in with the "flat bill" crowd, and cheer the F up.

I work 11 hours a day, 6 days a week most times.... so yes, I did want a mower that could cut my grass in 30 minutes because that all I usually have at the end of the day to do yard work....
good job bud! come to nj , work union bud, in that field here you ll make more $$$ than you ever dreamed! good for u on the mower!, im with u on the rider mower, in our line of work time is of the essence, on whatever time we do have off its more fun playing on our toys or being with the fam, alotta people don't understand cause their jobs our 9/5 or 7/3.

Middle of the day in the middle of July in the southeast Texas heat I was mowing the grass in front of my shop when a wrecked lawn care truck pulled into the driveway. Friend of mine who owned the business just stared at me and laughed as sweat was pouring down my face. He reminded me that he had quoted $35.00 a cut to mow, weed eat and blow off the driveway and then asked what in the hell I thought I was accomplishing when I could be taking his $8000.00 to fix his truck instead. I wiped my face and told him to finish up as I parked the Lawn Boy. Told him when he was done to go to my house and cut that shit too. Laughing

That was back around 2000, don't think the Lawn boy has been cranked since. Gave the riding mower to the father in law.

Two stroke for the win! Magnesium mower deck, adjustable ride height, twin spar adjustable aluminum uppers, oil injected and a 3 speed tranny. Walk jog and run like hell. Oh, and e-start.

I have close to an acre of yard, and I don't mind push mowing it all, it takes about an hour tops. However, now that I'm in my 40's, I have thought about a rider.....but I'm gonna hold off for a little while. My 16 yr old just got his license, and has a girlfriend. So, I bought him his Mustang GT, and even though he works, he always needs extra cash for date money, car goodies, etc.. So now he takes care of the lawn....problem solved! I'll worry about a rider in a couple of years when he goes off to school and I'm closer to 50!
