Zimmer's fault for trying to win the LCQ, he should've settled for second and transferred to the main

I'm a Zimmer fan, and I didn't see it as that aggressive of a move. It didn't look like they even touched.... Kyle took his line away thats all.

I didn't see anything wrong with that. I don't think they even touched. He went hard up the inside, Zimmer had to check up and lost the front.

Only on vital will someone be called a d-bag for making a pass!

Looked like Zimmer could have kept forward momentum and gone wider rather than turning and losing the front...

Kyle told me that they didn't touch, that Zimmer's front end washed out.

It's just racing. I am proud of Ryan and the way he rode yesterday. Qualified 10th got taken out in the heat by accident, same thing in the lcq. It's all racing and to tell you the truth I thought Kyle rode tough and clean. After his crash in Atlanta i am glad to watch him ride. Ryan has had some tough luck in SX this year but on a Great first year team getting better each week. Looking forward to watching Ryan run the 450 class outdoors for the first time on his Blue Buffalo Slater Skins Yamaha. Thanks for everyone's support.

I don't think Zimmer was expecting Cunningham to dive inside before the triple right there, especially since they were both in a qualifying position. I wonder if Kyle is going to be in the 250 class for another year? (or 5)

But Cunningham has ridden the 450 and actually did a lot better than his 250 class results, yet continues to race the 250.

Completely unnecessary and I'd be pissed if I were Zimmer. He chopped the line right before the triple when they were in 1st and 2nd in an LCQ. That's a big no no.

C'mon otter. Are you going to send him a paycheck each week to ride the 450 class? It's not like he is ripping off championships in the 250 class so whats the big deal? I grew up seeing Kyle all the time at the races. He is a nice guy and there was nothing wrong with that pass. Zimmer just goofed up.

Zimmer should have let him by and taken an easy second.

At least he got good airtime for Blue Buffalo.

Wanted to address some issues here...

Just an FYI - racing to the expectation of your team doesn't make you a douche...it makes you a competitor - one who is doing the job to the very best of his/her ability.

Staying on a 250 or moving up to a 450 - well, you do what they pay you to do, right!?!

20 years in this sport on a 250 (we could only wish that a career could last that long in the 250 class).

This name calling and judgmental commentary amazes me - especially when you sit and bench race without even knowing the character of the individual you are name calling and/or judging. This is a tough sport all around and everyone is fighting to find a place to fit in, you do what you have to do.

I do know that if it was EASY, everyone would be doing it as well as I know that respect is a valuable asset (both giving it and receiving it) to have. Please, if you do not mind, let's respect these athletes in this sport for as we have witnessed recently - it call all end in an instant.

One thing that I know for sure is that I am PROUD to know this DOUCHE! He is an all-around nice guy, good sport, and great role model.

Thanks for listening!

This thread title should be edited IMO. What I saw was a racing move not a douchebag move by KC.

I'm pretty sure Cunningham finishing 15th in the 450 class is going to pay better than his 15th place finishes in the 250 class, and I doubt the low profile team he's on is making up that difference in sponsor bonuses. I guarantee you he'd earn a better ride by moving up and takin some top 10s in 450 class over taking out privateers to win a 250 LCQ. But to be honest, if he was ever going to move up it'd be when he was on Valli, even if he moves up now, I don't see teams hiring him unless he really kills it and is a top 10 threat weekly.

There's certainly more money to be made in the 450 class. Even 10th in the 450 LCQ pays $1,100.00. I won't argue that but to say Kyle is "taking out privateers to win a 250 LCQ"... c'mon man. They are racing for position because it is a race, after all. Zimmer gooned it. He could have checked up and it's not like he got t-boned. In case people's memories are a little foggy here is what happened.

Thanks for posting those pics. OP should fix the title.... It actually mak t him look like a douche bag, IMO. I happen to know Kyle and his family Very Well and know for a fact that he'd like nothing more than to land a 450 ride. He actually rides the 450 better than a 250, IMO. It mellows out his riding style and smooths him out.

So, if anyone wants to antie up for a 450 and a moderate salary, I can put you in touch with him. For those of you that still think it was dirty or think that Kyle is a "dirty rider", you have issues......
