Watched this one from the roof of a van parked between turn 1 and 2.. just epic, DT just killed it , back in the days of 45min races , he rode the first ten like it was 15 mins long, and Farleigh being a roomy track (apart from the woods) meant there was room to do it. Shame he couldnt have brought win home, but Malherbe was some rider.
Recently , has to be Shaun Simpson winning at Lierop in MX1 , in 2013, beating Cairoli (and everyone else) for the overall on what was effectively a privately run Yamaha in the bottomless sand, this after being overlooked for the MXoN team in 2012 at Lommel because 'he wasnt good enough in the sand'...

Which year did Stewart win a 125 moto with the front brake lever dangling from the bars? Unlike other racers who claim to lose their brakes (while structurally intact), the lever on James' bike was inoperable due to a crash. Undeterred, JS remounted his bike and laid waste to the field, including passing Langston for the lead.
Did that actually happen? Or have I lost grip of reality?
