That crash was horrible. Two of the coolest guys in the sport...

Any word on Jake's injuries? he looked pretty sore after that one.

He has a broken arm, a punctured lung and a concussion.
Sounds like he was roughed up pretty bad but is doing okay from what I've heard.

Been wondering about Jake myself. Good guy who seemed like he was starting to find his way back to his 250 form. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. Maybe I'll be able to beat him in MadSkills2 with that gimp arm for a few weeks now!

Jake almost hung em up after last year. After this really makes me wonder if that was it for JW12.

So far best source for updates are from his Mrs's twitter acct @Nicloe_Weimer. He apparently had surgery today and is doing well.

Just saw this on Transworld
"Jake suffered a concussion, a mild pneumothorax in his left lung, bruised vocal chords, a large gash on his chin, and a broken adam’s apple. He also suffered a broken right humerus and has already undergone surgery to have it plated."

A broken adam's apple just sounds painful.

Jesus that looks painful. Jake get well soon, maybe that farm is looking a lot more appealing now.

Reed mentioned possible bike trouble in a tweet, any further word on what really happened?

That gash on his chin is nasty.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last we see of Jake Weimer racing professionally.

Holy balls, I have never in my life heard of a fractured Adams apple..

man that sucks, i hated watching that crash.

he used to race some of the races in our local series and always show up on his Suzuki's and smoke everyone. he always jumped some ridiculous jumps at our track that weren't even thought to be jumped.

hope he has a great and fast recovery and get's back out there soon

Me either! I mean...I didn't think you could do that. Super bad deal for Jake though. I think he proved to sponsors that he could run with the big dogs hoping for a speedy recovery...just like TC41

The way he impacted the bars was just sick. Damn! Feel better soon, Jake.

This crash really made me think. How many times can you really start from zero and build yourself back up again and again...guys like Canard and Weimer have more drive than I do. There is no way I could have kept going after some of their injuries. kudos to both of these gentlemen.

Fuck, feel so bad for Jake. Don't blame him one bit if he hangs the boots up.
Canard should also be forced too retire.

Raw deal for sure. I hope he recovers fully. After this, I gotta think he's considering hanging it up. Some pretty gnarly injuries these last two years, losing the factory ride, dropping back to a support team and not really getting results, etc. I'm sure there are plenty of companies in the industry that would hire a guy like Jake in a heartbeat.

So you can see the old collarbone repair but what is at his spine area? Is that from another previous injury? Or some thing from the X-ray?
