That was the weekend after Dallas sx. I saw it too. Funny that dungey tied Damon, then he was on in the truck.

That's pretty ironic, I watched it for awhile cause Bradshaw looked like he was doing work. Pretty awesome to see him do good in another sport.

good to see him successful in whatever he does. I like seeing former pro's tear up other sports.

Don't mention that he was only 14 or 15 at the time though. Sounds more bad ass to just say you beat him.

I saw Bradshaw, Larry Ward and Mike Brown race at Muddy Creek in '88. To this day, I don't think I've ever seen two guys go faster on dirt bikes than they did that day (Brown was a distant third).

He was unbeatable in 87.

I made ever race at sugartree, place was epic with Gary prepping it. This race not a lot showed up ,maybe 5 guys on the gate so my husky was slow and this got me closer to the front with less guys.

I always went ont in practice and rode my own line so it would be there later this kept me close to him. On the last lap i saw he was slowing and I get by only to have him slam me trying to win anyways.

I picked my place, below the pond dam ,and never shut off. Back then the big double was still there in front of the stands. My husky would barely get over it with Gary putting a turn right in front of it. This time though I ran off the hillside, hit that berm wfo and got all i could ,the finish was at the end of the whoops but around the corner 10 feet. I figured a slam was coming but he didn't jump the double.

I talked to him after and found out his shock had equalized, nitrogen bypassing the piston or bladder blew. He still would of ran me over though.

I'd race Saturday nite somewhere like ringold or travelers rest, drive all night and park the big yeller bus at the gate ,they knew me,knew I'dbe there ,wake me up and open the gate sunday morning. Loved that track.

Good times.

Saw Damon last summer. Looks like he's having fun now. Check out the video I took.

I walked with him to an autograph session after and told him I was a fan since his Moto days when he had those epic battles with Stanton and others.. He was really cool and seemed happy to talk about those good old days.

I was an alternate in 250 that year, got to ride practice though which helped. I think 250b got 2 because we were first out on the grass and then got last prsctice because the track was so different. I know that happened for me one year. Riding the fresh mowed grass was a blast.

The stuff they do with those trucks these days is mind boggling! It looks like it would be a helluva lot of fun to be behind the wheel and your number one goal is to try too break the thing in half for the crowd.

Some of his related vids there are awesome.

You can see his moto roots.
There is one he catches mega air and he locks the brakes to avoid looping out.

You can see he must really have fun with this.
Good on him.....

Back in the early 2000's, his younger brother Zach used to show up to a some local races here in NC and would totally wax the A class. Dude straight up hauled the mail. In a RacerX interview, Damon mentioned Zach's talent but said his dad never really pushed Zach to go pro the way Damon did. Kid clearly had potential though

Oh how I wish Bradshaw would have won that '92 SX title. I would have loved to see McGrath and a confident Bradshaw go at it in '93.

Zach had more fun at the track. Damon was 100% serious.
