Qantas, you always know you will make it to wherever you are going alive, eventually, although they are trying their hardest at the moment to erase that perfect no fatalities record it seems.

I'm Executive Platinum on American (I fly well over 100K miles a year) but really do favor Southwest Airlines. Southwest has the newest fleet, the best on time record, friendliest flight attendants and no additional fees for checked bags.

They go rid of the "cattle call" boarding proceedures and have gone with a more "firendly" process.

If you haven't tried them in a while, I'd recommend that you give them a shot.

We have used (and like) Northwest, but not since they were absorbed by Delta. Should be even better, except I wonder if their discount pricing is gone.

When I fly for work I try to get on either Spirit, AA or US Airways. Don't particularly care for any of them, I just want a damn bag of pretzels!

in the US Jet Blue, because of the TV's and nice leg room & Virgin for overseas. I've been told Singapore is amazing and so is UAE, but i haven't flown them yet.

I am like Oldskool, Platinum on AA but prefer Southwest. If you want to move to a later or earlier flight they are cool about it and just move you. No charges for most changes. Everybody is friendly and has a great attitude. Plus you arrive on time with your bags.

Southwest may have the "newest fleet" but certainly DOES NOT equip their planes with the latest technology. For years Southwest order the "striped down" version of 737's. Just recently Southwest started to equip their 737's with the type of avionics other carriers have had for years.
And as to JetBlue and their TV's. Well Delta has TV's installed in most of their fleet as well. Along with most other carrier's.

Ive been with AA since 02. Thats what all the guys at Suzuki did so I did as well. Earlier this year I was flying Continental and US airways because they were a bit cheaper and someone else was paying the tab, man was that a mistake!! Never been sooo damn late anywhere and missed soo many connections. Flew Virgin to Japan and that airlines has its shit together.

Continental has always been my choice for some odd reason.

Flew Jet Blue once - wasn't too bad, TVs are cool, seemed a lil more roomy there and there.

Flew AA 4 times - flight got delayed once or twice, its ok, not my bag of pretzels.

To me, it don't really matter.

I just hate being 6'2" in coach grrrr.

After you have flown Singapore or Cathay Air, nothing we have in the US even begins to compare. The last time I flew Cathay Air the only thing that sucked was the movies. I watched 8 movies that were currently in the theater at the same time that I watched them on the plane. After being home for a bit, I couldn't rent a movie for 3 months because I'd seen them all. The food is fantastic. WTF is a peanut? I ate so many cookies I had chocolate chips coming out my ears.
It also sucks to get back to the states and catch a 4 hr. 6AM flight with USAir and not even being able get a GD pillow.

Whatever is cheapest and direct flight. I use kayak.com to search since it's free and takes you directly to the carrier to book.

Domestically I have been flying North Worst for the last few years since it had a hub in Detroit....In 3 years I had 2 flights cancelled completely, 11 delays and at least 5 connection issues.
In Chicago now so I fly Delta or AA and have not had any problems. International, UAE is by far the best airline i have ever flown...hands down.

We don't fly a lot, but we like Sun Country. Not as many options for those outside the MN area, but they work well for us. Friendly, rates seem good, smaller terminal at MSP, sandwiches and cookies, pillows.

Although it probably won't do you a lot of good out West, Republic Airlines is excellent for regional jet service. I have used them many times without any problems. They were voted Air Transport World '2008 Regional Airline of the Year'. I hear they are expanding their destinations, so you may want to check them out.

Yeah, its a pretty decent spot actually. I go every year to surf the off season at Pipe. we stay right on sunset beach and I got invited up to the track by a local. What a view from up there. Check it out if you get a chance, just look for a yellow MX track sign and turn in the driveway. Only open Sat/Sun

For regular traveling Jet Blue. For getting bumped into a higher class. Delta.
