Have read all this and can't believe some of the crap posted BUT still no answer to original question ffs

For what it's worth, after Thursday's accident I would love DW15 to get on the AB program to get back where he should be

Apparently he's working with some of the Red Bull trainers now from Austria. It'll come round, he's too good for it not to work out!

Offtopic: Visser62 No disrespect to you or is this a knock but JF info and literature is very basic and outdated. Rather read up and learn about Polarized training and base your training on that going forward. It will help you develop more as a athlete and make substantial gains in your riding and racing which is what you want.

If Johnny O"mara had stayed with RC instead of deciding to start a family, you all would be arguing about how great of a trainer Johnny is.

Aldon doesn't twist the throttle.

its awesome that 991 needs no outside coaching/training.he is a special person. very rare breed.
he can get to his full potential by being self disciplined.and has the time to listen to his body and video tape himself to see his mistakes.etc...
love to see a list of your championship achievement's.or just any achievements.
sadly,guys like us ametuer/expert mtbr's without coachs/trainers are getting waxed,by guys with worthy coaching/training.
I guess, even newly enlisted army/navy,etc guys and gals, dont realy need any sort of training either...

Oshow is one of the best trainers!!! If I had the choice it would be Johnny on my sideline forsure! Not sure why Barcia hasnt shown results just yet, but im sure they will come as the season goes on...

And lets just be honest here TRAINERS ARE A HUGE PART TO ANY RIDERS SUCCESS and to think otherwise is really dim minded. Most of these riders know nothing of fitness till they get coached up. The nutritional value alone is a big difference in seeing results, along with hard work and commitment in a successful training program your almost guaranteed to be a better athlete in general. Now if you can get a trainer that had a successful carreer in this sport that has an understanding of the level of strength it takes is a huge bonus.

This is an article on my companies website that details what Polarised training is and its benefits. All info is scientifically validated etc.

http://www.sciencetosport.com/achieving-maximal-results-with-polarised-…

Here is a article on Periodisation that any quality athlete and trainer should be working off

http://www.sciencetosport.com/periodization/

NOTE: Im not trying to promote my company in any way here just supplying some info Visser to read.

And if RV had retired after his St. Louis crash we would be talking about how RD is the best American rider of our time, but that didn't happen.

For some reason I knew you wasn't bullshitting.

I wonder if it is anything to do with Baker spending a lot of his time with all these other riders he has taken under his wing and not focusing most of his time on Ken..?

That makes me, you, and.....well that's pretty much it.

My source is a friendly guy but hates gossip and bullshit, so when he tells me something like this I dont have much doubt.

Anways, after 10 pages of people being personal trainers, we have the answer to the OG question.

Thanks for the belief zook11 haha

Hope roczen knows what he is doing, I'm sure you don't have to have Aldon in your corner to win but history has proven it sure doesn't hurt

Yes he did. I think developing the new generation Yamaha is what slowed his winning ways, even though he did win a few on it.

with the talent guys like roczen and eli have why pay a guy like that if you don't have too. they both made it to the top level w/o him. I think it was different with the goat because he had a weight issue for a long time but everything else was already in place so I can understand more why he needed it

Well Moran....success in this sport is measured by championships and when it comes to trainers Aldon has more than all the others combined and that is fact. When you can produce facts that support your claim let me know, because all I see is someone that has little knowledge just arguing for arguments sake.

Sure the 991 fella has a vastly different opinion on this topic than knowledgeable folks in the sport....but what I find amusing is that he appears to be totally clueless on the whole "Moran" joke.

Yep.

A trainer is only good if the athlete listens.

This is kind of like the argument of the any coach vs how good his players are.

it takes both and Aldon has found a way to help many of these guy's do very good.

Sure other people are good too but the results are hard to argue.

But doesn't the coache's teaching talents play a role in how well they can ensure an athlete listens? Why else would certain round ball coaches be so sought out for college and pro teams?

Every guy that won with Aldon, won without him. Yes, he is a very good trainer, but RC won 4 titles without him, Ken won a world title without him, RV won 3 titles without him snd Stewart won three witnout him.

Wiemer, Townly and Stewart all regressed under him.

No trainer in the world will take Jake Wiemer and turn him into a national champ, but every trainer could take RC and look like a hero.

A trainer is only as good as the guy he is training.

Right now, without arguement, Eli is in the best shape, is Aldon training him?
