I'd love to hear your explanation of how exactly he was riding over his head. Do you even know what that means, genius?

I don't know how many times i have to explain it. Canard didn't know Reed was going inside until after he jumped. At the speed their going you can't just change up your line.

Sweet man, Keep telling yourself that.

I'll never, ever understand the "superfans" that attach themselves and their emotions to one certain rider to the point that they cheer and high-five a chickenshit blatant takeout move on another rider. The delusion is so strong that Canard (!) Is now being accused of being loose cannon, flailing around the track over his head endangering other riders and "ever body knows it" lol.

I'm of the opinion that we've seen 2 accidents where neither of them intended for things to go down the way they did.

But, I could be wrong.

I couldn't agree with this more

I don't agree with what Chad did but I know why he did it, I'm not saying Canard deserved it or did anything too wrong..
but I can only imagine the frustration coursing through Reed's veins.. bet he changes his view and feels a bit silly after looking at video

That crash was similar to trey riding into Stewie at GH last year... I think there is a pattern here of out of control riding and the AMA needs to do something about it Whistling

Trey rides aggressively and he does take a few chances, that's his style and that's why he is such an exciting rider to watch.

Otherwise, he'd be... Dungey, and be criticized here for being "boring" and "not making it happen" enough...

I guess you can't please everyone ?

It must be noted that this was a passing attempt, not a take out move, by any means.

Now, Chad's frustration is understandable too.

But he'd probably have been more inspired to wait for another occasion (one must admit that was was tempting, though, in the heat of the moment).

Bottom line : unfortunate incident, between two great racers.

As far as the referee's decision, tough call : Chad's payback wasn't dangerous but it was blatant and if you tolerate blatant retaliation, it may become quickly an even more dangerous sport than it already is.

You know he will...over and over. Canard was on the move and Reed was starting to drop the anchor.
We sure didn't see any retaliation when Barcia sent Canard to the Semi

You obviously have never ridden a mx bike very fast. You can't change your line that quickly. It was a racing incident. Canard wasn't in the wrong. He didn't know reed was going inside till he had already jumped
Have YOU ever raced before? You can't just assume a guy protecting a position isn't going to cover his inside. Why wouldn't he? Bonehead move by Trey. He makes a lot of those...

I think Trey was rude to be in an accident and then try to pass the rider after they both got up. I think that's what made Chad push him out.

Canard was making the exact same move Roczen made for the lead on Shorty. I guess KR "Was riding over his head" too......WTF people?! Racing incident, plain and simple. Reed retaliation, plumb fucking stupid.....got what he deserved (and for the record, I LIKE Reed as a racer).
The difference was when Roczen made the move there was a gap to pass and hit did not clean up short

When Canard done it, there was a rider right the fuck there and he fucked up.

Pure and simple Canards fault.

It matters not where Reed went the lap before, or that others made that same move all night. pure and simple Chad already had that line, he was in front, he can choose to run where he wanted and Canard plowed right into the back of him.

As for Chad's take out Canard, it was a little silly but made for good TV.

Being black flagged for that is bullshit, seen a lot more harder take outs all night, Reed just ran him to the edge of the track, At least Trey seen it coming, unlike the hit he put on Reed.

I think you are the fucking idiot here
No Canard could not know where Reed was going, so he should not ride like he knows what guy in front of him is going to do.
That's the point, you cant guess and take a big risk like that.

Canard sounds really stupid when he says that Reed went outside on the last lap around so he thought he would go outside again and he took jump in the dark.

Keyboard, watch it again, it was barely an elbow. The only reason Trey went down is he had one hand up pulling a tear off and hit a tough block...

Reed himself said it was intentional. Bowers said it was the other week too. The black flag is fucking ridiculous.

Intentional or not he took Reed out of the race and he penalty was?

Exactly if it was not for Reed putting him back on his arse, his penalty would have been a loss of 4-5 spots. He actually got back up in front of Reed and got on the gas hard to make sure he stayed in front of Reed and another rider coming around the corner, he just made a mistake by slowing up for a second whilst on track whilst the race was still in progress, while still racing for position and got ran wide by Reed.

What Reed gave Canard was a LOVE tap compared to the hit Canard put on Reed, intentional or not, he did it.

If Canard was so focused on getting his shit together before going on and continuing racing, why did he not do it before he remounted and re entered the track?

Canard got himself up as quick as possible, remounted, re entered the race and was taken out by a rider going for position whilst on track.

No it does not make what Reed did right, but how can you black flag Reed for that when there have been plenty of riders so far this series taking matters in to their own hands and paying the favour back with no punshiment.

They have gone from one extreme of no punishment to the full extreme of a black flag in a 30 second decision.

No one single person should ever have that much control that they can black flag a rider because they think it could escalate more.

The decision to black flag Reed was disgraceful.

I don't think Trey ride over his head he just wasn't expecting Reed to go tight, and that was the problem. Just a racing incident but in hindsight Canard was going faster anyway and maybe could have waited a turn or two and would have got through anyway, but in the heat of the moment these things happen.

Reed shouldn't have been black flagged though even if his payback was a bit over the top. Why not wait till the race is over and do something then like a fine. Reed wasn't the only guy that night to intentionally take some out. (and I don't inlcude Canard taking Reed out in that list because he didn't mean too).

It seems if you intentionally take someone out first that's ok , like Hansen and Barcia did but if you do it as retaliation it's not. Lesson of the night? Take them out first lol

I like both riders, and I see the crash as a racing incident. Reed then retaliated intentionally. I keep reading these interviews with Reed where he says he wasn't mad, he was just confused. Sorry Chad, but someone who isn't mad doesn't go out seeking retaliation like you did.

Totally selfish but it bums me out when the same audio/transcription gets recorded and redone. They're all doing their job, and it's great, but I just wish there were more opportunities for more media sometimes... Can' get enough!

Are you not supposed to anticipate what the rider in front of you is going to do, and then go inside, go outside, check up ?
