Take some time to mess around with the camera zoom and adjustment. It made a huge difference for me. The dpad is camera adjust and left bumper + dpad is zoom.

True, but I think it was ATV 4 or something that had a 650 as the only dirtbike. That's just what it initially reminded me of.

I wish there was a way to change the helmet cam perspective. If it could be pulled back a little so you could see more of the handlebars and bike it would be perfect.

No fucking kidding. It's pretty awful. I'd like to use it, but find it unusable.

I've played the game quite a bit and have it down pretty good. It's still complete garbage. It's 2014...there's no reason this game shouldnt kick ass. Even the whole online play is screwed up...

I really hope they can come out with some sort of patch to make this game better.

Laughing Laughing Laughing who are these kids that buy these games just to throw mad sick whips and scrubs?? Is that seriously the reason why everyone cums in their pants for Reflex?
Unfortunately I think it is. They are also the same morons who were posting on the MX v ATV facebook page when the game was being developed, making a massive deal about how the bike had to sound in the air when you revved it. That was the biggest concern for some of these muppets, of anything you could bring up with the games developers, they wanted to rave on about four stroke rev limiters. What the fuck is wrong with some people ??

Okay, I have loved all the games to come from "Rainbow Studios" and I have tried really hard to like this game but is horrible. I have seen a nice progression from mcm to mcm2 to untamed unleashed reflex and alive but this is a mess.

The developers seem to be clueless as how to tweak the physics. Did anyone at Rainbow actually play the game??

Dear Rainbow/Nordic please fix the game. The tracks are great, editing colors on hubs and rims is good. But please add setting adjustments and open up the physics. Don't waste your time on a new game if you don't first clean up this game. I for one will not buy another game from you.

I recommend playing through the 125 championship in addition to the 250 and 450 stuff the 125 is much more flickable and helped me on whips and scrubs quite a bit. .

I don't understand how some people can actually think this game is anything but a Joke! Everything about it looks like it was made in 1990, and don't get me started on the game play. Very disapointed to say the least.. SMH.. I'll wait for the Reflex servers to come back up, thank you. I refuse to waste my time with this cheesy ass 1990 arcade game. Pisses me off that they couldn't do a better job given that its 2014.

I actually think it's pretty good after a few hours...sure the graphics were an initial kick to the mean bean machine, but I've been doing most of my gaming on PS4?PC so graphics were bound to look bad. You get used to it.

I love Reflex, it's pretty much the reference point to any MX game that is released and I personally think that Reflex is better than Supercross. The main thing I dont really like in SX is the pre-load mechanic, I just feel like it's cheesy.

Still, unless you've put in a good few hours and already made your mind up, I urge you to give it a bit more time to see if it grows on you. The franchise is a pretty misunderstood one IMO...they can be a really hard and "un-fun" types of games to play without any experience or interest in MX in general, but to keep them going with new releases and hope they tick more boxes we kind of need to support any junk they put out. It;s a niche market.

It's not the best but you guys are being quite large assholes seeing as how you know the rainbow dudes post here. It is WAY better than Alive. Worse than Reflex. Clearly this moto game making biz is a little harder than you geniuses think or someone would have made a great console MX game already. Everybody wants something different. The game wasn't made for YOU!! Yes it could be better, but seriously, quit your crying.

I'll bet 80% of the people bitching here can't put a rhythm section together so your request may fall on deaf ears.

There is a link to the British guy who picked the game up for the first time and was playing it. I watched most of it (yeah I now sad) but even he was able to play the game reasonable well for someone who admitted he sucked at racing games and was not into bike games at all.

I will continue to hold off until I get the game, but I have a feeling most of the complaints are coming from guys that just plain suck at the game and could not be bothered playing it for a couple of hours and working their way through it.

I was not the biggest fan of Alive after Reflex, but once I accepted it was not the same game and enjoyed it for what it was I still go many hours of enjoyment out of it.

Makes sense and I agree 100%. The preload on Reflex gives you a real good feel, therefore making it a lot more consistent and precise. Also, the ruts on Reflex felt like real ruts, and if hit just right you were rewarded. I'll support it this time around, but its still a huge downer that this is what they put out.

They didn't even change the graphics on the bikes! That would literally take 3 hours to make 5 new graphics kits. What a bunch of goon developers.

I've finally adapted to the pro chassis, with the stock brakes, on the 450 and I am finally starting to like it. The racing is good, have to protect the inside, whoops can bite you... The preload is not necessary to clear simple jumps which was annoying on the stock bikes. And once you figure out to brake properly with the reflex control, it turns pretty well.

Won almost every race on multiplayer, and I'm one of the top players in Reflex. Trust me win I say is not that good at all when compared to past series. I'm mean come on, the latest suppose to be an improvement over its predecessors right? They failed miserably.

To elaborate further on the reasons I dont like the pre-load in SX (and to extent the clutch) is that when you get the hang of it you can pretty much do any jump in the game...as well the fact that it doesnt "hurt you" so much if you screw up a rhythm section....you can pretty much grab the clutch for speed boost and then pre-load yourself straight back into action.

But heck if you want to argue semantics, I guess this is kindof what the pros can do in real life anyway to an extent.
But with Relex if blow a rhythm section you pay a big price lap time wise...makes it feel more satisfying to nail good laps time after time.
Racing guys like Blaster, disbanded etc etc etc the old school guys you can kiss any chance of a distant fourth goodbye. Wink

Unleashed is pretty good homie. Mx vs Atv, I'm talking. Been playing it for ten years and I'm still finding new ways to ride the tracks and save time. Not sure the same can be said for Untamed...and not too willing to find out.

I mean, is it the best dirt bike game ever? Yeah, maybe. Cheerful

This one I was kinda ragged early on but smoother near the end. Fun.
Not sure why it looks so shitty. I mean yeah I recorded the tv, but I've done it before with better results.

I guess it uploaded 240 quality...by default. What the fuck, bitch? Ask me next time.

Once you can start hitting the rhythms without needing to use the preload, using it actually slows you down.

If you are like me and can't stand the goon riding style, try it in first person. Takes a little getting used to but it made the game playable for me. Now I'm really enjoying it. Scrubbing takes getting used to though. Just level up one of the Rainbow or Nordic bikes and you can customize their color instead of having to level up a ton of OEMs since you only see the front fender. I bought the OEMs but they aren't the new models (they are same as Alive) and I hate having to level up all the bikes. If it was a money system like Reflex it would be ok because you could win money on a good bike and use that to level up the other bikes.

I noticed though in first person sometimes it gets off center like someone else pointed out. Hope they fix that in an update and the fact the AI riders like to cut the track (not a big deal but makes me wonder about people doing it in MP).

The free ride feature on the tracks is cool too.

Not to mention using the same gear and butt patches, at least we have the option of not using a butt patch now. So far I'm enjoying the challenge of figuring out a new game but I think it's pretty lame that they didn't change some of these things at all from Alive.
