So will the Red Bull Straight Rhythm come back?

I liked it (wasn't there in person) and I thought that overall it provided some good moments... some boring ones too (but that's always going to be the case in any race format). I wouldn't place it above a normal SX and certainly not an MX race, but otherwise it was a good bit of entertainment, a good bit of fun. Certainly unique.

I loved it.

I think they need to move it more towards December so it's a little cooler out and the guys on the new bikes have worked out the kinks

IMO that's the only thing that could make it a little better. More stars = more fans. Oh, and cooler temps is always a good thing.

Yeah, watched some of this, great stream with NO adverts

Thought it was ok,a bit of a gimmick though, quite predictable, and the repetitive nature held back my enthusiasm.Once a year in the X Games would be ok though

Travis whole deal was awesome though!

What happened to the Give me 5 event they did last year,That was much better?

I have a thought on why it turned out so good. In SX, we far too often get a follow the leader race with not much battling. After all, that's what we all really want to see anyway, is a really good battle. With the Straightrhythm, we get 50 sec. bursts of tight racing. It's nothing but neck and neck racing every time a bike is on the track. There's even enough time between matchups to get another beer and take a leak. Laughing

One of the best events this year IMHO.

Whoever said the announcing was awful is full of shit. RJ and Weege were ON THE PIPE yesterday. I hope those two do more announcing together. RJ knows his stuff and wasn't shy about explaining how or why d̶r̶i̶v̶e̶r̶s̶ riders were doing this or that. He reminded me a lot of David Bailey's announcing to be honest.

Pastrana, what can be said. Pure excitement even though we only saw him run 3 straights. His perfectly balanced wheelie back to the starting line, past Hansen was hilarious and cool at the same time. Everyone loved the two stroke except maybe Hansen who seemed irritated by it all.

Totally agree on a Legends bracket, if they can find time to work it in.

I watched the TV production of it after I got home from watching it live, and yes they did a great job. But live they had the sound system turned down you could not hear anything and it became pretty boring watching 200 feet of a 3000 foot track for 3 hours, was though to see the one screen they had set up. But was awesome to watch on TV. I think monster cup will be the live event to attend in the off season though.

Fun racing, thank god for TP199, though.

I gotta say, I've never seen so many bad tats in my life... was a little depressing actually. Maybe I'm getting oldUnsure

I liked the starts a lot and am always up for throwing new ideas up against the wall to see what sticks,

Tats are a big age marker. Think people 45 and younger...are much more accepting of tattoos.

I hear you on the getting old. I prefer to think of it as knowing more now what I like and what I really don't like.

It was a great event and it will return, it will perhaps evolve as well. Can you imagine a the same thing but with a track wide enough for 4 bikes / riders? - at least for the qualifying/early rounds.

It's not going to replace supercross though, and I don't think people should be thinking of it that way. It's just adding to the overall exposure and participation. That's not delusional.

Well, I have a few tats... didn't feel the need to have em all on display though.

I guess the energy drinks really bring out the same poser bro's we see at supercross, just a whole lot more of them!

It was cool though, enjoyed it.

Meh honestly. Outside of a race here or there (Pastrana FTW) it all played out without much surprise or suspense. Most of the races were basically over before the halfway point since the bulk of the mistakes happened right off the bat. Also, wayyyy too much time in between races considering how short each heat was. Glad to see an attempt at something new but it lost its novelty value pretty fast.

The only thing that I would add is a Joker Lane.

There was a large screen right in the middle of the last double before the whoops. Also one toward the start; where there were no bleachers. I agree, 3 or 4 more of these would have been great.

I kind of like turns...

Im glad people liked it, it's something else to watch during the off-season, but wasn't that exciting imo. A head to head format on an regular track - even though it wouldn't be as unique as this - would make for a better event, where you'd be able to really see the rider's abilitys.

Maybe the track needs some tougher combos, or bigger jumps, i dunno; but i wouldn't trade this for any of the 29 reagular races. I can't wait for the Monster Cup, but i could live without a Straight Rythm 2015.

It was great. As a fan of MX and motorcycles in general...I loved it. Supercross is booooring and commercial. This was commercial but at least it was exciting. I love seeing these riders riding for fun (and money of course), but having fun....sick and tired of race only guys, robots, motorcycles are about having fun, bravo to Travis for bringing the 500, bravo to all the guys who actually showed up and raced this....and had fun..it brings some style back to our sport. Anything to balance out the boredom and blandness of SX is a good thing in my opinion. It's a long wait until MX season again....

I'd actually love to see it be a 3 or 4 race mini-series in the late fall/early winter. Could be fun.

Do it in a big city next year, between buildings! Also a camera from above would be ideal.

I don't think Caroili has much desire to do SX....

Sounds like I'm in the minority, but I though it was boring on TV. It was fun for a couple of races, but it was all just too much of the same thing. Maybe if the riders could use the whole width of the track instead of each having their own lane. It was head to head, but they were really racing the track, not each other.

Sure hope it comes back! I think they should maybe try it at night though! It was stupid hot all day and if you sat in the grandstand the whole time I think that would take some of the fun out of it. I didn't see and big stadium lights though? Also I feel like they needed a couple more of those big screens next to the track. Probably the only things that I saw that I would change. I
I enjoyed my viewpoint for the day! On top of JG33's motorhome!
Musco would be really happy with the idea of having the event at night. The issue is the $300k approximate price tag to properly light that event.

It was indeed hot but unless a facility is already set up with proper lighting it isn't practical at this point.
