I see he's still on a honda. Will he stay on a 450 for next sx season or will he drop back down to the 250s? I think he would do well on a 450.

Still no ride according to Matthes. My god that boys got some speed. He's really going to come into his own the next couple of years IMO.

I'd really like to see him go somewhere for 2015, or do his own thing and do well. I think his showing this weekend has turned some heads. Hopefully he can keep it up and contend at the Monster Cup in 2 weeks.

He was easily the 2nd best at the Red Bull event.

I hope he gets something! Way to fast to be having to pay his own way to race. Dude has some incredible speed! Good job Malcolm!

I enjoyed watching him today, was hoping for a W! At this point with all the "real" factory rides full (except 2nd position at RCH if there is one and 20 isn't the pick), I think it's maybe better for him to do the "Seven" bike. He will be able to pick to what suits him best and not ride a "B" team bike. It's not like it will kill his family to support him, he would most likely end up filling in for someone who doesn't stay heathy on a factory ride if he keeps it up! I might add, if he did do a factory fill in that he may put up better results than the guy he fills in for.

It wasn't just the speed and run times. He seems to have internalized some very high level skills that he did not have down in the past. Clearly he has put in a LOT of time working with Big James. So many little techniques look like a bigger version of JS7. To think we have not seen him on a 450 in SX much yet.

Malcom is very talented why shouldn't he be, his brother is James Stewart but we haven't seen the best of him yet.

At the moment he's working on his own program for '15 SX.

He has a good personality, and will probably be able to get some significant support. Probably a good move. If he can convince the Yosh suspension guys to do his bike, so he can double up on test days with James....that would be a win win.

Question to a guy that might know something.....if.....James is unable to race next year....is there any chance Malcolm would be able to fill that spot...or have we heard anything on a 2nd rider for RCH?

Him & James should just have their own team. Like cr22. They've got the coin. I hope he lines up though reguardless. He showed some real speed & skill for SX today.

I wouldn't think he'd be a candidate to replace James.

Second rider? Blake Baggett.

Who would fill the spot, it seems as though they are selling themselves as a two rider team now.

Anyhow, he seems pretty good on the TLD Honda so maybe he can just cruise and jump in on another team if/when someone gets injured.

There is a LOT more to it than just filling a spot. Because he is James' brother , doesn't have any bearing on what Team Suzuki needs to do with filling that spot. I think the "Only " way those two will ever be team mates , is if they start their own team.

And FWIW....I don't think James will miss any SX. At least I hope not for our sakes. But that's up to the judge and jury.

Clearly there is more to it than just filling the spot. But look at who is available...Metty, Josh Hill, Josh Hansen.....a few others..you don't think Malcolm would be ahead of them?

I truly hope James is able to pay a fine and race the SX series.

Malcolm is on fire! He has came a far way, I think he is faster than he has ever been and only getting faster. He will be in the top 5 with a ride or not a ride. He will be there no matter what come A1. Cant believe TLD didn't keep him. I think he has something brewing!?

He was booting today but the straight rhythm proved nothing we didn't know about either Stewart. Both fast as fuck... But it's nothing like 20 laps or 17 races.

I like Malcolm a bunch. On the track and off. His personality off the track is great, always smiling, in a good mood, just makes you like him even more. He definitely has skills, and while the TLD ride was quality, it wasn't a dedicated 450 effort. I'd like to see how he transforms once on a team dedicated fully to the 450 class only.

Oh, and while the boy can jump, let's not forget the old saying "jump for show, corner for dough"
Not saying he can't corner, but we all know that's where the races are won.

In some races he may be quicker. In others I can see Josh maybe having an edge at times. But in SX I think Malcolm will have an edge over Metty and Hanson both. I totally get what you're saying here though. If I was in charge , I'd hire Malcolm for the fact that he will get TV time , descent starter and can haul the mail. His down fall over the past few years has been inconsistency........but that's also plagued Hill as well. Like someone else mentioned though.....I don't see him doing his own thing for to long....I see him as a fill in rider. And the way it seems to go is , there are quite a few injuries before A1 even starts. Which could put him on a team before then.

That would be a great spot for Mookie. Great bike, dedicated team, Shorty & Brayton onboard & room to grow.
